Default As/Ri Idea

I didn't do much to practice out the build yet but if the runes were implemented, here's my assassin idea...

12+1+3 Dagger Mastery [melee? like warrior? of course!]
8+1 Critical [the strength of an assassin lies in crit, like warrior str]
7+1 Shadow Mastery [the 'tactics' of an assassin? holy carp]
8 restoration mag.

first 4 slots are your combo dagger skills with elite ^_^
Shadow Refuge
Shadow Step
Weapon Spell [damn forgot title - lets you steal hp when hit]
Flesh of My Flesh

I think I my change it to the lightning magic line to be more offensive in the future, I'll put more details here when I get the chance.

Sadly, the Deadly Arts area of the assassin line doesn't seem to even qualify as a 2ndary weapon line. I'm not sure how to use it... Especially since every sin needs max weapon and a chunk of crit....

I'm surprised you haven't started out with a A/N build, given all of the great permutations you had for a W/N...

I definitely think that you'll see Assassin focusing on either Shadow Mastery or Deadly Arts. Dagger Mastery is just too good to pass up, and I concur with Critical Strikes as being a pretty key part to an Assassin primary.

I FOUND IT!

12+1+3 Dagger Mastery
7+1 Critical Strikes
8+1 Shadow Arts
8 Restoration Magic

Jagged Strike
Fox Fangs
Twisting Fangs
Moebius Strike {E}
Shadow Refuge
Shadow Step
Wielder's Boon
Vital Weapon

You can switch the last two for Generous was Tsungrai and Flesh of My Flesh for pugs and better team abilities.

Vital Weapon adds a little hp with 0 communing, but the key is that it's 30s. for 5e. Wielder's Boon gives 60+ hp for 5e. and it's quite fast. Coupling it with Shadow Refuge gives good damage longevity to get the hell out of there. [yay shadow step]

When I get the chance to unlock more dagger skills, I'll try to get something less energy heavy... [hoping for Zealous daggers ]

Shadow Step (which is, again, known as Shadow of Haste now) is arse for a running skill next to Dark Escape.

Dark Escape (Stance, Shadow Arts)
5e, (instant), 30r
For * seconds you move 25% faster and take only half damage (*from all sources*). Dark Escape ends if you successfully hit with an attack.

No tricky butt-end teleport ripe for ambush, and the whole halving-damage thing just rocks. You get your speed and, whether you're approaching or retreating, you're covered damn good for that approach. Hell of a skill, almost surprised it's not Elite.

Combined with Wielder's Boon, Vital Weapon, and Shadow Refuge, and Monks will love just how durable the glass-cannon Assassin is :-P

That's a good suggestion, time to unlock...
