What are some good Shock Axe Skills?
I have a shock axe warrior and need to know what skills would be good to go with him.

I actually prefer Flurry over Frenzy...
Code:
Flurry
Energy Cost: 5
Recharge Rate: 5
Stance. For 5 seconds, your attack rate is increased by 33%, but you deal 25% less damage.
vs.
Code:
Frenzy
Energy Cost: 5
Recharge Rate: 4
Stance. For 8 seconds, you attack 33% faster, but take double damage.
Frenzy has better recharge and duration, but that double damage received can be really killer... And even though Flurry decreases damage output by 25%, you are still hitting some heavy blows with an axe, so it really shouldn't be that big of a loss...
Note that I don't generally PvP with my Warrior, so I could be going at this wrong. Just stating my opinion.

Definitely stick with Frenzy; Flurry is only good as an adrenaline builder in PvE, or on an IW mesmer (and whether or not these are any use at all is another debate entirely). Since you'll be the primary damage dealer on the team, you can't afford to sacrifice any damage output.

I think the trick is to use Frenzy when you aren't getting attacked, and cancel it with Sprint if you do get attacked.

since it is the warrior's job to do damage, I would always use frenzy over flurry. You just have to watch that people are not focusing on you, then turn on frenzy and apply the beatdown. And if they do switch over to you immediately, then it's certainly possible to cancel it with sprint.

Most likely at some point you'll be called a noob for using frenzy. DO NOT listen. There is a reason that 95/100 people choose frenzy :P
But anyway, as an axe warrior I'd use eviscerate, axe rake, executioner's strike, and penetrating blow. Some people prefer cleave for it's spammability, but eviscerate does huge damage and causes deep wound.

frenzy and sprint, along with the mini spike(evis, exe, penetrating), with shock are staples.
I find distracting blow quite useful ecspecially if there is a surger/migrainer on the target i am on. RC interrupt ftw.

I always drop strength down to like 6-7 and boost air into around 11-12 and use air attunement, you will be pleasantly surprised by the increase in DPS oh and shock does decent damage too.

A w/e without conjure lighting is losing a LOT of damage..

Conjure lightning is resented by many players because...
-it takes up an extra skill slot, when war bars are filled with many superior choices already
-it is an enchantment, can be easily stripped(but your a war anyways)
-it has a large recast time, is it 60 seconds?
Air attunement on a warrior is a weird idea

i agree. i use frenzy/sprint in arena play because the spike will only be so big and really people leave you alone for the most part if you're a warrior. in gvg i use flurry. constant damage is what i want and what my team wants, not big spikes. if some obs spike team comes along and makes me their whipping boy because i'm using frenzy i'll have some explaining to do to the rest of my team. spikes can be big and nasty in 8v8 and you'll have no time to hit sprint before you die.
