I just wanna Smite !!!
I really dont like Healing Monk builds, and Prot Builds are nice but just aren't fun for me, so i just wanna make a Smiting build, and i don't care of some people won't take me into their groups, and i don;t care if im not going to be as viable dmg dealer as Ele or what have you, so i was thinking of either going Mo/E and combining the Monks Smiting Signets with maybe the Ele air or earth9for knockdown) spells (cuz i have alrdy tried water and fire) or maybe Necro's Death spells, can anyone supply a Smiting build that is Non 55? I just don;t have the money to buy 55 gear

Im with you, that would be cool if you could get it to work. like every monk attacked one character and used scourch healing and varios smite tactics puting everything into smite and rest into healing and divine, it would be fun that's for sure. if we could round up enough monks to try and make a build/combo like that, i would certianly like to try it

I've been soloing the PvE missions with a Smite heavy monk (only non-Smite skills I take are Mending and Healing Breeze) and having a blast...it was an old lvl9 (now lvl11) char I had been ignoring since I brought her over from Pre, but now I like to play her more than my lvl20 W.
Of course, a W/Mo can put out more damage and still keep themselves alive.

whatever in Divine
Glyph of Renewal (E)
Balthazar's Aura
Zealot's Fire

Draw Conditions
Reversal of fortune
Judge's Insight
Res Signet/Hard Res
The idea is to keep up divine spirit constantly, so use glyph of renewal before you cast it every time. Secondly, if this is PvE, you need a warrior chum to do your damage for you. Cast Judge's on him, have him grab aggro, then cast balth's aura on him, then put up Zealot's fire, Divine Spirit and spam Draw Conditions and Reversal of Fortune till everything around him is dead

Except that the critters will flee from the AoE smites. There was a time when this was very fun to do though.

You can still use Zealot's Fire and Reversal of Fortune to do it though...you just have to time your Zealot ticks so that they are only once every 1.5-2.5 seconds.
I thought it was funny in pvp when I used Balthazar's Aura on our W/Mo and it killed 2-3 people/4 on the other team because we had a lot of AoEs (and you get lots and lots of damage numbers against an 8 man team if you arcane mimic for mist form, use spell breaker, run into a group and drop a Symbol of Wrath and use Balthazar's Aura. It's hilarious with 4+ people doing this, the other team loses a chunk of their members almost instantly).
Try using (for PvE smiting):
Banish (only 5 energy, decent damage)
Bane Signet (knocks down attackers)
Smite (does extra damage to attackers, use it right before Bane Signet)
Shield of Judgement (helps lower dps done to you and kill things around you faster)
Reversal of Fortune (helps for stopping nukes from killing you for a second)
Healing Breeze (for healing)
Protective Spirit (if you're in one of those spots where things are just hitting you for a TON- seige wurms come to mind)
Res Signet/Hard Rez
When Factions comes out, I reccomend Mo/E and sub-ing in "Ride the Lightning" for something or Mo/A and sub-ing in the power that gives you a faster run speed and teleports you back to where you used it when it wears off...
Ride the Lightning would be for getting out of a mob quickly if you get surrounded (it happens...). It is also a fast way to get places (if it's in range, you can get there...no more having to find that hill to get the loot).
The assassin teleport works kinda like this (for getting around a mob you don't want to fight- Caromi come to mind, along with anything that chases you):
Run into a mob so that it aggros to you and use the skill. Run away (back the way you came) so that the mob follows you. Keep the mob following you until the enchantment wears off. You will teleport to where there is now no longer a mob wanting to kill you.
More ways to play with this come to mind for PvP (cast it far back, run into the other group, and dissappear before they can attack you...would be good for making sure that the other team is not ready for you, they attack what they won't hit... Even if they rend the enchantment off of you, you just end up where you started.)

I just finished pre at level 5 with my Smite monk, and i never had more fun in Pre, im switching to heal/prot so i can get to UW quickly (wont have to look for ghroups) then im going to save up my $$$ and swap between a 55 set up, and a regular smite set-up
All i hope now is with Factions we get 1, maybe 2 skills that revive this build
CMON ANET!
