I'd like you oppinions of you guys to get the better ele type armour to be able to stand a fair amount of damage in pve and pvp... i usualy do missions with people and fow/uw farming :/ Always thought fow pyromancer armour would be good, but not i'm not so sure anymore..

if you want my advice...wait untill ch2 comes out, and see if they have the new armor types available in FoW form there; because the current ele armors are pretty craptacular compared to ch2 ones...
that having been said, the best current ele armor is most likely geomancers but keep in mind thruought GW history different elements ahve become more popular at different times, just that currently earth is the most popular.

forgot to mention this: gw factions i'm not gonna buy, i don't like the pvp sytem in this game but i will do ha with my ele too.. just cause i got nothing todo anymore these days.. maxed out staff.. maxed out skills.. done all missions and bonuses... have every town in the map.. All i can do is farm.. farm.. farm..

Well since FoW armor is no different (apart from looks) than droks or 15K armor, which are you using now?

I would say that geomancers is probably the least useful of any particular armor type if you are looking for straight protection.

It all depends on the type of area you are playing in since they have different protections versus elements. AL+1 versus earth? I don't know what in particular you find in UW or FoW or anywhere else that would necessitate that kind of armor for PvE.

If you are PvP, what kind of elementists do you find a lot there that you could use a boost against. Obsidian Spike is armor ignoring isn't it? Otherwise finding warders maybe? Armor won't protect you from wards.

I have used pyro armor all the way through. Even in the fire islands where it would be best, we usually had a ranger that put up winter. So maybe hydromancers if you spend a lot of time in the shiverpeaks and with winter rangers and Aero for PvP?

Ele. Factions armor:
Archmage's Armor --> +35 Health
Battlemage's Armor --> +10 vs physical
Tempest Armor --> +10 (while enchanted)

it's too bad that the most useful one Battle Mage is the ugliest of them all =(. Sure hope there is a 15K version of if.
