you ask that interrupting just one skill makes a difference? what if each of you groups monks(anywhere, not just in topk) just did not remove 1 hex.. or just remove a certain condition.. its a team effort. i dont go anywhere at all w/o at least one interrupt on my skill bar. youre sure as hell gonna help your team out more by interrupting a meteor shower(goodbye minions) than doing +13 damage from conjure on a couple of targets per shot. personally, i dont use any enchants in topk, just a 15^50 vampiric hornbow, it does great damage, the +13 wont matter much when there are 4/5 other rangers doing the same thing. when youre in a group of 8, you may want to concentrate a little less on youre personal output and more on what you can do to help youre team work smoothly.

You come to a forum as a junior ranger, you ask for advice on a bow to use, then you argue over skill builds, mmmm !! Conjure does squat, very few rangers run conjure builds, I tried em, theres better builds, that do more damage.
Go Vampiric, with a customised bow, and you will be approaching +13 dmg constantly(20% of 30 is 6pts of damage, think about that)(I use 30 as an example of a decent hit, obviously 22 is max hit(20%of 22 is appx. 4)). Interrupting is a Rangers bread and butter(along with several other 'skills'), when you get more experience as a ranger youll come to realise this. Try to join groups as a conjure/barrage ranger LFG and see how you make out. Im not saying conjure has no place, it just aint the be all and end all, that the WIKI makes it out to be.

Well, sorry if i came off argumentative, but it's helped me to understand many things i didnt before, so arguing (in your opinion) has helped me alot
When you use the Barrage/Judges Insight combo, do you also use strength of honor?

No. Simply as you'll find that Living > Damage Dealing, plus its a wasted slot for Strength of Honor.

Last time I checked, there was a trader with the Ascalon Short Bow in the desert. I have gotten at least 10 short bows from him, and one as recently as last week.

No, I apologise for sounding bitchy, discussion is always good as long as we try to remain civilised about it. The only experience I have using JI is in a fairly specific build for the Fissure of Woe, it involves 2 rangers, a necro, a monk, and a tank who can take and HOLD aggro(no book trik needed). Its been a while since I did it but the build I ran was J.I./Fav.Winds/Essence Bond(goes on the tank)/Barrage/Savage/Distracting/Lightning Reflexes/Cant remember the last skill I ran, but the important ones are listed, attributes were: Smite:10/Marks:16/15/Expertise and Wilderness Survival:get Exp. as high as possible(9-10) while maintaining a decent W.S.
That particular build owns in the Fissure.
One the above post I mistakenly mention max as 22, WTF was I thinking, 28 is max so yea customising and a vamp string id the way to go.
On the subject of collector bows, I have obtained most of them(they rock), there are 3 or more in the dessert, just buy the collectables(it is a lot faster, and less aggravating), you can find out their wherabouts, and what each needs and what 'type' of bow they offer at GuildWIKI(whew, run on...). Good luck.
