Guide to not being a "bad" warrior in 4 v 4
these are the things you should do,
*Protect your most valuable player (monk/ele/mes)
*stay with the team
*follow calls or call if you know what your doing
*as soon as a teamate is down you are at disadvantage therefore res instantly
*be nice
*pressure the enemy monk (eg. if you got 2 people on the monk take on a weak charactor in his team , this can be realy effective since his concentration of healing will be cut in half and you will most likely end up killing both of them at the same time) ..btw say if your doing this so your team understands
*if there is no monk target casters first , ele first is a must, i know a lot of people say take down the mesmer but if yu take down thier damage you've destroyed them , if the mesmer is shuting down your monk attack the mesmer.
*dont chase a foe off if you cannot increase your speed or decrease his speed , he will only regen and take you down and you will be out of range for healing
*if you know your monk has condition removel and you have a bad condition (eg. weakness , crippled , blind) call it once lol , dont spam it like a idiot.
*DO use frenzy, just make sure you have another stance to remove it, and remove it ASAP if you start taking damage.
*Also, DO put as much attribute points in your weapon attribute as possible, including a superior rune. Your strong armor will help you survive even with the health loss, and you will kill people a lot faster.
*if empthay or spiteful spirit is on you "call it!" since it can possibliy removed by your teamates , and if you do have spiteful spirit on dont do anything near your teammates , you would be killing them too.
The things you must NOT!! do
* do not run around like a idiot claiming your the almighty god of 4 vs 4 with healing hands
*do not shout abusive words since you will be banned
*do not call people noobs , espeicaly in 4 v 4 where its where most people begin pvp
*do not leave if you have no reason lol
*do not go away from keyboard
*do not have a go at your team mates for not doing good enough
*respect your healer since he is working to keep "you!" alive
* if you do not understand how hard healing can be then dont have a go at the monk if you died
*and the most important NEVER EVER!! USE FRENZY+HEAL SIGIT AT THE SAME TME
*never attack another warrior unless the other warrior is the last possible target.
well thats a few things

it's a good list.
you might add,
never attack another warrior unless the other warrior is the last possible target.
if you win, dont say 'PWNT' to the other team. goddammit i hate that. you're just a warrior.

Hehehe, that's probably a good idea.

i have one thing to change. The thing you said about the regen when they run thing is if a warrior doenst have a ranged weapon of some sort. I always carry a flat bow with perfect vamp and helath mod so i can shot form long distance and stop regen and cause extra 5 or 8 damage. I really agree with the healing hands thing. W/R and W/Mo need to stfu in arena because they have teh most easyest builds ever most of the times and cant comprehend the at least a little difficult builds. Sure there are some build builds like the shock/tiger builds but thats about it for w/r and w/mo's arent that great. You might wanna also add that dont run after sum1 alone unless the monk is down or the monk is the one running then you pretty much have a free shot. Just make sure if you do run away if u are lower then about half heath then get away and heal up or run to your teammates.

W/R are great. People see a W/R and think that they're IWAY, and leave. Condition W/R builds are my fav to run in 4v4.

Also add
DO NOT use frenzy while hexed with empathy
The mesmer will LOVE you for doing 62 dmg per swing
DO NOT use frenzy while hexed with Spiteful Spirit
the necro will LOVE you for doing 72 dmg per swing (or 81 if AtB was used)
In fact, DO NOT attack AT ALL when hexed with either/both Empathy and Spitful Spirit

Here is the one I don't quite get:
"*Protect your most valuable player (monk/ele/mes)"
I hear this all the time, but I have yet to understand how you can protect someone. Do you want me to attack the other warriors attacking our monk? That's just bashing your head against the wall, it's much better to attack the enemy squishies first.

IF you see a warrior about to unleash his adrenaline spike on your drained monk, sprint infront of that mofo and save your monk 15% DP
(body blocking)

That's retarded. That saves him a few seconds, but that warrior will still unload his adren on him. That's a decent tactic in GvG where battle lines mean something and enemies don't want to overextend, but in arenas a warrior could care less and will just follow that monk, shock/strike him down, and unload adren.

It buys him time to escape, thats the point. Then he'll have to chase your monk again from a farther distance which will give us more time to gank the rest of his team. It acutally works pretty well in random arena since all they ever do is c->space

Aside from chance bodyblocking, there's not much you as a Warrior can do or should be doing. A few Chp 2 skills might change this, but it's still not that important.

Hopefully by res you mean Res Sig.

Eles do damage? Casters are a priority, but I'd take down a Necro, Mesmer, or Monk before an Ele. Either the Ele is a flashbot, in which case you don't stand much chance of taking her down without a Monk keeping you unblinded, or the Ele is trying to do damage, in which case you've probably got better targets to be going after, like that Necro or Mesmer over there hexing everyone.

Correction: a Warrior should always have a speed buff in PvP, and a snare is great too. Unless you're talking about a Ranger who can outrun you, snare, and regen, in which case you shouldn't be trying to chase.

Respect everyone. Since when are Monks so special?

But Frensig is the best skill combo ever.

I help take down enemy Warriors when they're at low health; am I a bad Warrior for that?

You're not accomplishing much unless they only have a sliver of health left. Bring a speed buff and catch up with them.

Then you might as well quit the match as you're not going to do anything. You attack but make sure not to die from the hexes.

To deal with spiteful spirit, DO NOT stand in the middle of a group of three teammates and start swinging. Find a lone target so that you dont gank your team.
And, of course,
Do not cast mending on yourself to counter your 'godly' victo's blade degen ----bring a friggin sword swap
Do not bring restore life/rebirth --- i don't know how many wars end up going solo vs 4 enemies and then right before they die, start casting restore life
Do NOT bring fiery dragon swords --- they have no extra benefit, they just do less damage to rangers and platemail wars
PLEASE bring interrupts, res sigs

Well I thought this was pretty informative, until Savio came along and turned everything upside down...
I figure it all just depends on certain situations, but some good pointers in there for the retards like me, if I ever get into the arena thing...

I was, of course, referring to when I (as mesmer) have about half health and then someone (not always the warrior) gets hexed with SS and takes me down to about 3 health in the time it takes me to run like a banshie away from them. Right about then I turn into the top target for someone to wand to death.
Also referring to, with empathy, when the warrior gets hexed and contiues to swing and swing and swing for 21 seconds...losing a large chunk of health, almost 500, in the process and never once calling that they are hexed by Empathy. I would gladly shatter that sucka right away and save them the damage if I knew (without having to watch their health bar to assume that it is empathy and needs to be shattered).
I stand by that you should not attack AT ALL if you have SS on you and your allies are near, squishies can't afford that kind of quick health loss. Call the hex and then move if you have to, or stop attacking long enough for me to move without taking 150 damage...

If this is talking about RA, I'd like to suggest that patience is key. Usually RA teams are uncoordinated. The best way to take advantage of this is just to tell your team at the beginning to wait for them to make their move. Whoever runs at your team first, everyone target them and try to take them down. If they don't drop in the first 7 seconds, then break off and target their squishies.
Good post, I enjoyed reading it.

Referring to your previous post about the bow i have it for a reason. When in gvg or any other aren you get a cripple or a speed debuff you need some way of hitting them too stop the regen. In this case i have the bow to stop this regen. Plus when they are at a elivated spot and you dont want to go get them you have a bow to cause some damage. This just wasn't applying to random also team and hoh along with gvg. It was just a helpful tip for people.
