this is so entirely based on personal opinion.. Personally I think the luxons have better looking armor and that their areas are more aesthetically pleasing.
obviously some people disagree with me.

HOWEVER, there are alot of people who are going to jump in any second and tell you that:

a)this is the wrong place for this post

Luxons have bright areas and relaxed dress. You see a lot of light yellows, light greens, and vibrant reds in their cities and areas. They have a lot of nautical stuff, like boats, crabs, and turtles.

Kurzicks have dark places and formal dress. Basically dark greens and various shades of black. They like forests and long walks on the... mud.

You might try going over to Screenshot Exposition and looking up their armors.

I perfer Luxon for 3 reasons:

1) Female luxon assassin armor > Kurczick. Opposite for male, I play female characters.
2) Kurzicks are emo. Look at their buildings, their clothes, their faces.
3) Giant turtles. Enough said.

I have mostly male characters, and I find that the Kurzick armors are far superior to Luxon. My guild decided to go Kurzick, as they said it was the more challenging route (no idea if there is even a shred of truth behind this), but for me, it was all for the armor.

Oh for gods sake nobody else call Kurzicks emo! They are NOT emo. Try looking up emo on urbandictionary.com first! They just have 'gothic' tastes. It is a misconception that people of those appearances are also emotional...

I am emo, is there something wrong with me? That's what I thought. It's not some cracked up satanic religious voodoo stuff. Jeez. All I am saying, is just because we are different, don't hold prejudices! You probably don't even know any emo people. Go and talk to one, they are not much different than you!

Haha, if only I didn't know the rammifications of posting pictures of myself from two years ago. We'll say I know emo people. And we'll say they weren't much different from me a while ago.

Regardless, Kurzick = emo is the general (unanimous) consensus of my guild and nothing you say will change my opinions. Thanks. Go back to myspace.

Edit: Upon giving a very slight amount of consideration to the "you don't know what emo is", I requested /b/ give me some examples.

Luxon is fun coz you'll have less wait time

There are just too many Kurzicks until now than Luxons, thus Kurzicks have to wait longer in Alliance Battles than Luxons

And besides, I heard many good PvP alliances switched to Luxon recently

Anyways, there are more Kurzicks than Luxons at the moment, so if you want faster 12v12s, go Luxon. It's easier to get faction with the side that your guild is aligned with, but you can still be, say, in a Luxon guild wearing all Kurzick armour.

Oh and by the way, white and black makeup are characteristic to the goth stereotype, whereas long hair covering the face and thick-rimmed glasses are stereotypically emo.

Depends on your definition of fun. If you like the challenge of going through a dark gloomy forest fighting mobs of Wardens, Oni, Mantids, Dredge, and other challenging foes then go Kurzick. If you want to take a nice vacation on the Jade Sea fighting easy monsters then go Luxon.

Kurzicks are unbareably pale (White makeup or just have never seen a glimpse of sunlight? I'm not exactly sure), wear all black, and seem a bit emotional (Come on... they sit and cry in forests...). If anything in Guild Wars is emo, it's the kurzicks. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a kurzick npc sliceing his wrists.
