Default an ADIEU to farming/running... plz read

my sincere apologies i fthis post doesnt go here but i found no other place to place it.

with my recent purchase of factions i came to realise that ANET has virtualy elimanted farming in both cantha and tyria runing in cantha. now some might say that "farming is for noobs" or "running takes no skill! runners are noobs!"
but id like to argue otherwise.

-to the haters-
thought u might utterly hate running and farming(i repect ur opinions) i would like to point out that your being a bit ignorant.the key argument that most people make is that running or farming takes no skill.lets put this into perspective. If what you say is true how come i dont see every one in that game w/ a rare weapon? why do i constantly see "WTB a good weapon"? if its for noobs or takes no skill would they not farm for it? now if my point is still not made, lets look at it from another perspective.

Farming and runnning is what i call "jobs" just like not every one is a doctor, lawyer, etc not every one in GW is made to be a runner or farmer. some are good in running others farming others in pvp etc. eliminating or even limiting this 2 "jobs" is like eliminating them in real life just think what would happen if we no longer had farmers or transportation. now to people that hate runners. i ask a simpler question.. why? 99% of all runners run beacause they enjoy the rush and rewards of a run, 100% of them are extreamly good at it and have the skill to do so. was not guild wars made for people that posses skills?*("you will prove your worth every battle as skill, not hours played"-anet,on guildwars boxset) just like you would'nt hop on a bus to goto a place u barely even know most people that employ runners are ppl that have already visited the destination on a different char. an average LBSRA* runner takes 30k per droks run, now u tell me how a noob could come up with that money.

-the justification-
Farming- now i do stand by some of anets nerfing i.e the ettin nurf which took no skill to kill a lvl 15 ettin which gave rare drops. however i strongly dislike other monor nerfing which left hard farming spots w/ little or no valuable drops like griffons for example. im not saying i should walk away with 5-6 gold rare drops every run but rather a runner whos farming lvl20+ should get atleast 1-2k per run with maybe 1-2 golds. i fail to see anets justification on the nurfing and limiting running and farming in catha. running and farming does not brake any rule or violation and cant certainly be considerd cheating. so whats the big deal if some one wants to spend 10-15mins farming or running? shouldnt any economical world like guildwars be made on top of hard working citizens? running like farming helps to complete the economical cycle in which all real and virtual worlds depend on. the employer pays employee>who goes out and buys stuff from others who employ which keeps the cyle moving this ensure a constant cycle of money from one hand to another.

-conclusion-
farming and running in GW is as important it is in real life. eliminating them might have unwanted consequences. lets take me for example.
me who i consider my self honest w/ intregrety made on a average 30k weekly before the nurf now i find my self making around 4-7k a week. lets say i found way to cheat would i not be tempted to cheat and make my 30k like i used to?
tHOUGH anet might have anticipated one thing im afraid in might lead to another. a far worse course than "a noob getting ran to droks!"

yours truly
nate

*if u want to leave critsism please make it constructive thanks*

Default Fear not Nate there is a farm for you

Each factions has a quest that is built for runners so put on you running skills and you can start farming today.

Luxon
Out of east exit of Breaker Hollow is a quest to take supplies to some guy.
Kurzick
Out of the south exit of House Zu Heltzer is a quest to take supplies to some guy.

Each of these quests set up perfectly for a runner. There is way to much stuff to run through that causes death for all the other classes that cant run. Runners make these runs profitable. Each quest can be done as many times as want so there is no limit.
The key to each quest is that you get 400 Luxon or Kurzick Faction points. Each run will take a skilled runner about 4 minutes tops.. I timed the kurzick run in 3:10. Two positives to this. To advance in the Primary Missions, each faction requires you to gain 10000 faction points. 10000 divided 400= 24 runs to get to 10000. 25 x 4 mins = 100 minutes of time or less than 2 hours. So what would take a couple of days to complete all the different quest to earn 10000 points can be done in 1 hour and 40 minutes. COol huh. It gets better. After you open the quest for each sides, yes you have do each of them seperate, you turn in your faction points for jadites (Luxons) or Amber Chunks (kurzick side). The jadites and the Amber chunks sell for 2-3k each. So you can make at least 20k-30k in 2 hours(counting selling time). You just sell them in Cavalon or House or better yet Armory or Levianthan where those that want the faction armor will need them to buy armor.
Enjoy the farm. And us runners and farmers need to keep exploring for new possiblities.
Happy running!

Run, farm, sit in Pre-Searing your whole time, what I`m tired of is people trying to tell others how to play with their $50 purchase. It`s time the high and mighty get off their horses.

Running has its plusses and minuses, and there are good arguments for each. On the one hand, it's good for a veteran to get to later ares without having to grind through the Fedex quests and long missions for the 4th time. On the other, people who have no clue about game mechanics and no skill whatsoever shouldn't be allowed immediate access to late-game content. It's a double-edged sword, because there's no real way to filter out the vets from the scrubs.

Pretty much every farming nerf has been to combat the gold-for-cash sellers. Unfortunately, everyone has to pay the price, and until Anet demands that ebay not sell the gold, it's just going to get worse on our end. Drop rates globally got nerfed, then specific areas. Who knows what's next...

Um. YOu pretty much just yelled at people for disliking farming/running, and 'justified' yourself.

I farm Cantha daily. I posted a thread about farming. How has ANet killed farming?

Actually, i'd say tyrian farming got a lot easier, thanks to the new skills/gear. FoW solo with whirling axe ftw.
