Lava Arrows spam
Ive been playing around with this on my Canthan Ele but seeing as i only have access to a few of the later skills and im only lvl 15 id figure id post my idea any way
these are just guesses atm
Proffessions:
E/Me
Attributes:
im guessing fire magic and energy storage would be higest + what ever is left over on inspiration magic for spells like energy tap ect.
Weapon:
fire staff with half time [20%] on recharge+casting
Skills:
1-Flare
2-Lava Arrows
3-Arcane echo
4-Energy tap
5-? [ echo maybe if u go and cap it]
6-?
7-?
8-?
still playing around with the rest
the basic idea is to spam lava arrows, seeing as it targets 3 enemies at once, costs only 5 energy and takes only 1 second to recharge it can cause some damage.
so far i start by casting arcane echo followed by lava arrows and in turn press 2 then 3, cuz of the recharge time, by the time the 1st one has finished casting the second is charged and if u get the rhythm of it its easy to maintain for the 20 seconds arcane echo lasts for.
Flaws ive found so far:
-lava arrows only has half the range of normal spells meaning uve got to get closer be4 u can actually start using it and if an enemy cast a spell like imagined burden it means u may take some damage just getting close enough for this to work
-enemies have to be close together, not so much a flaw but if the enemies spread out then it messes things up
im still playing around with this but any input would be greatly appreciated

I don't see where the dmg would be..most people, if you're using this in PvP, have the best armor you can get, and most probably have a peice that increases armor against elemental attacks. This would cut your dmg done by lava arrows considerably. Unless I am missing something, I just don't see how this would work. Mark of Rodgort will keep someone on fire using Lava Arrows, but I can do that by just using my fire dmg staff.

I don't think PvP people have armor against elements in most cases.
My Mark of Rodgort idea is useless in PvP, since it fails to mild hex removal.
However, in PvE you seem not to have understood it. For example, I was suggesting keeping 2-3 enemies on fire AT ONCE. Also, Lava Arrows dishes a lot more damage than a staff, to the enemy mob in total.

Just from what I have experience with playing around with fire arrows in PvE I don't see that its all that great of spell. I hate the shorter cast distance. Maybe i am missing something to get the full effect of this spell To be honest, I haven't tested many of the new Factions-added Spells for the ele because what I have been using seems to work so I just stayed with the 'ol tried and true. Plus I need to make some Platinum to buy some more skills

Lava arrows does slightly more damage than a staff, to three targets. It's like an multi-hit version of flare. Flare is not a good spell, so I'm not sure why Lava Arrows looks so attractive.

Lava Arrows does 1/2 the damage of Flare, but does it to 3 targets.
And 30 points of damage or whatever is a lot more than average staff damage. I'd think there would be some difference even if you don't have a sup rune -- plus, of course, you're hitting multiple targets.
A staff with Conjure Flame is a different matter, but who bothers running that?
