Echo Nuking with a Canthan Twist
This is for those who like echo/renewal nuking, but can't stand the downtime that usually comes with those builds. It's fun to be able to cast triple Meteor Showers, not fun to have to wait a minute between them...
With factions, people say Eles got shafted, that we got no good spells, yadda yadda, but I found at least 2 particular spells that can turn your run of the mill fire nuker into a unstopable aoe-damage dealing force!
They are:
and
This is the build I'm using:
(Fire Attunement - Glyph of Renewal - Meteor Shower - Arcane Echo - Auspicious Incantation - Rodgort's Invocation - Glyph of Essence - Res Sig/Aura of Restoration)
I use Rago's Staff, but any items giving +15 energy should work.
Cast Fire Attunement, GoR, MS... Arcane Echo the MS, cast Auspicious Incantation, then cast the echoed MS, you should be back to 50+ energy... GoR again, Rodgort's Invocation, Rodgort's Invocation... When GoR reloads, cast it, cast Rodgort's Invocation, Glyph of Essence (you wouldn't have energy to cast anything else after that anyway) and one last RI to finish.
Your Meteor Shower should have reloaded right now, regen a bit... cast AI, RI Again (to recover energy), GoR, Meteor Shower, and the cycle begins again...
Exhaustion could be a problem, but there's usually enough of a breather between encounters to recover from it, (and a good Echo Nuker should be used to managing it anyway ).
I've only used this for a few hours, but I can honestly say I'm doing a lot more damage than I used to, and I'm having almost no downtime.
Edit: somehow I wrote Mark of Rodgort instead of Rodgort's Invocation...

Very interesting. Im a Fire Ele who uses Renewal/Met. shower and I think you may be on to something...If I can figure out the meaning of the Auspicious incantation LOL wow I don't understand it at all. I need to go test this out. I think this would be great to use in Missions but not sure about using for normal exploring but who knows.
Great find and definitely worth looking into, Thanks

Yeah, it's a damn wordy skill... But basically, while you're under Auspicious Incantation, your next spell will take an extra 30s to reload (so a Meteor Shower would reload in 90s) and give you a % of it's energy cost back (based on your Inspiration score).
Also, when you cast that spell, the recharge time for AI will reset and will now be equal to 25 (the standard recharge time) plus the cost of the spell (so if it was a Meteor Shower, Auspicious Incantation will now take 25+25=50s to recharge).
BTW, I just found out that if you cast AI, Glyph of Renewal and a spell, the Glyph negates the AI effect (+30s recharge) and the spell still recharges instantly, so if your Arcane Echo gets shaterred or something you can still use AI for energy without worrying about the extra cooldown...

It just gives you a lotta energy (+40 per MS with Insp 8). Add that with the bonus from the attunement, and you can basically keep alternating between Showers and Invocations the whole battle...
I also found out that Glyph of Essence is kinda useless, sure it can give you a few seconds but you're better off with Mantra of Resolve, Aura of Restoration or another nuke.

Bingo. In a renewal nuker build, AI can be used as an energy management skill.
But I'm not sure if it's worth it though.
With the attribute ranks you listed, we're talking roughly 33 (38-5) energy gain every 50 seconds, assuming you use it with MS. I'm not convinced that is worth giving up an extra skill slot.
I'll probably just stick with my standard "10 second MS recharge time" renewal nuker build.

It's rounded up, so its a 35 (40-5) net gain, plus 7 from the attunement. Considering energy regen, that means 2 Meteor Showers for free
There are probably more effective enegy management skills over time, but nothing like this if you wanna chain your nukes.

Problem I'm having with Auspicious Incantation is that, during your second volley, you have to wait for the 50 sec recharge to continue. Other then that this build is alright.
