Question about spirit life calculation
I tried searching, but the search is busted. I haven't seen anyone posting this kind of detail though.
According to guildwiki, the formula for estimating a spirit life is:
70 + ((spirit level -1) * 20) * (1 + spawning power * .04)
So that means the bonus from spawning power is applied only to the life from the spirit level, not to the "base" 70 life.
This makes a notable difference. Using the above calculation, with 12 spawning and 12 communing, a union spirit will have 248 life. If spawning also affects the "base" life, as the skill description seems to indicate, we get the calculation:
(70 + (spirit level -1) * 20) * (1 + spawning power * .04)
That gives the spirit 281 life, for 33 more life. That means the union spirit can protect 2 or maybe 3 more hits (since it loses 15 life every time someone takes damage).
Anyone know for sure?
(FYI I'm trying to figure out the best combo of communing vs. spawning. I'll post my results once they are ready.)
