Skill Info:- ACC: 9.375 energy

- ART: 10.5 sec
Runes:- Sup Rune of Blood
- Minor Rune of Curses
- Any Rune of Soul Reaping
Armor:- Ragged Scar (Blood + 1)
- Recommended Revenant's set or Scars
Concept:
Hexes taste yummy. Not only are they good for your soul, but great for your HP as well. Use this build to eat hexes and steal from the cursed foes.
Armor Explaination:
Either Scars or Revenants works. I use Revenant's for the HP bonus, but Scars provides a nice Energy bonus. Either way, it works to your advantage to have a little more in reserve.
Skill Explaination:- Feast of Corruption (Curses) {E} 10,2,20
A nice skill. Not only can you deal shadow damage, but you also steal HP if they are suffering a curse. Well, what is a necromancer besides curses and afflictions?
- Parasitic Bond (Curses) 5,1,2
My disposalbe curse of choice. Nice thing about this is the energy bonus you get when it ends. It's also a sweet little cover curse for those pesky monks who remove curses too often.
- Enfeeble (Curses) 5,1,5
Triggers Vile Miasma. And, numbs the pain from Warrior Attacks.
- Vile Miasma (Blood) 10,1,15
At lvl 13, does a -4 degen to life, plus has the bonus of some cold damage.
- Shadow of Fear (Curses) 10,2,5
OK, not fitting in some may say. Well, I considered "Suffering", but it doesn't last as long. At least with Shadow of Fear, you can get fit in 2 castings of Feast of Corruption. (look at durations)
- Phantom Pain (Illusion) 10,2,15
2 words: Deep Wound. Seems frivalous to put this skill in with a necro since you're dumping a bit into Illusion, but it's a 13 second deep wound when it ends. That's a nice 20% HP restriction. Not to mention this can be used to set Vile Miasma in action as well.
- Life Siphon (Blood) 10,2,2
STandard Life Siphoning skill. Not much I can say here.
- Gaze of Contempt (No Attribute) 15,2,20
WEll, some people just love to pile them on. And with enchantments countering your hexes, you need to remove them somehow. 50% HP or better, no problem. Like NSync, you can wave Bye Bye Bye to those cumbersome cover enchantments.
Weaknesses:- Hex Strippers
Face it, if someone can remove loads of hexes at once, you're screwed. Monks can use Convert Hexes to do this. The reason for Cover Hexes is to keep as many on as possible, but life is unpredictable.
- Interupters (Namely Spinal Shivers/Shivers of Dread)
With a 1.6 ACT, you're pretty vulnerable (especially on the more important skills) to get interrupted. Oh, and in the rare chance you find a Power Block Mesmer, just hope they dont' interrupt a curse.
- Warriors (come out and play)
Well, they can and will.
Warriors can use interrupts (hammer/sword/whatever)
to stop you. SHorter recharge skills getting interrupted isn't a big deal. Longer recharge
can put your chain off.
Strengths:- Hexes Eating
Not only do Hexes taste like ginger snaps, but they're also good for you. Feast of Corruption, Life Siphon, and Parasitic Bond make sure you gain HP by Hexing or taking advantage of hexes. Not to mention that at lvl 11, Feast of Corruption does 63 base damage, then tacks on another 31 if they're suffering a hex. That's 94 damage to the target, and you get 31HP back. To make things better, it's an AOE skill, so it does damage and steals health from all adjacent foes. It's a Win/Win Situation for you no matter what. Add, Parasitic Bond as a cover hex, and you're almost guarenteed to get at least 31 HP every time you cast.
- AOE Hexing?
Shadow of Fear is a nice AOE hex. You can easily apply to a group, then if your target dies, just grab the guy next to him that was affected. Not only will he be attacking 50% slower, but he'll offer a little more time to cast and consume using Feast of Corruption.
- Degen
When in doubt, Enfeeble him out for softer damage. Not only does it help trigger the degen in Vile Miasma, but it softens the enemy's attack. Also, Life Siphon and Parasitic bond offer a small degen. It's not much, but add teh Deep Wound from Phantom Pain, and they need to manage health a little more.
Testing History:- 1on1 VS an Enchantment Master/Spike Damage
- General PvP

Solid build. Good to see that somebody else recognizes how good Feast of Corruption is.
I'd consier swapping out Enfeeble for Enfeebling Blood, which you could double-cast with Shadow of Fear to make whole swarms of enemy warrior/ranger/assassins completely useless.
A Necro with Feast of Corruption would work really well with an echo SS necro, who'll be pouring out even more hexes.

If you bring this in RA/TA, you'll have no rez signet and be hated by everyone on your team I'm guessing you can swap out Gaze for that...
