Just wondering if anybody has seen this actually work... i tried to apply it on my warder either with ward of foes or ward of melee but in both cases i didn't see a difference in chasingspeed when i tried to run away after i used it with them in the vincinity. Also seems i don't have to target them to make it cast.

It's not a targetting spell. It's a pbAoE hex. Also, I'm pretty sure 50% speed reduction is the cap for stacking skills, so combining this with anything (like Ward against Foes) doesn't really help in that respect. Also, Nearby is not the biggest range descriptor. It's only a little bit bigger than adjacent, according to the Isle of the Nameless targets.

Seems like the perfect skill for a War/Ele in PvE or a Mo/Ele in PvP to bring when paired with someone with Greater Conflagration or a team naturally full of elemental weapons. But overall, that 30 second recharge turns me off for any PvP applications.

yeah guessed as much after i tried it out and was thinking about letting it be used in onjunction with meteorshower as a cheaper ward of foes.

still now i think about it, might just be that it got kicked off because of that dumb monster stance... forgot about it having an influence on kicking away hexes if hitting necroprim or sec.

Edit are you sure that 50% is the limit, since i remember the hex called iron mist which decreases speed with 90%. And it is in fact slower then when you are in a ward or hit with the 50% hex.

50% is max on stacking snares, such as grasping earth. ie, i dont think that any snare stacks to any degree. There a couple of 90% reductions, Mindfreeze and Iron Mist, but simply stacking cripple on top of deepfreeze for example, wouldnt stack it any further. In addition 33% is the maximum speed increase (altho assassin skill tops it at 50% for 3 seconds) and 50% is the max debuff for weapin attacks. There was a post on it somewhere, but i cant find it now :/

This could only work on people who use melee attacks in PvP, it's harder to use it on others since they run away.
