Default Critique My New Build, Please

This is a healing build that i've been tossing around alittle bit, for PvE. From my experience in Factions thus far, its especially effective there. As i've got various levels of healing and energy management, which gives me the ability to dish out consistent and potent heals.

Armor - Full 1.5k Kurzick Ascetics
Weapons - +5 Energy Katana, 20/20 Cast / Recharge Healing Ankh

Healing Prayers - 11 + 1 + 3
Protection Prayers - 4 + 1
Inspiration Magic - 10
Divine Favor - 9 + 1

1. Mantra of Recall - Main energy management, helps alot when there are few enemies that have enchantments or use hexes.

2. Orison of Healing - All purpose heal, for general uses.

3. Ethereal Light - A slightly more powerful heal than Orison, with a faster cast. The only downside being interruption, but i'm generally at the back lines, and few enemies i've come across interrupt me.

4. Healing Whisper - I haven't tested this yet, though it looks like a nice mini-spike. Only downside being its more limited range, which generally isn't too big an issue, as its not a touch.

5. Dwayna's Kiss - Great heal when paired with a bonder, or when enemies stack the hexes on.

6. Mend Ailment - With the increase in conditions in Factions, and the vulnerability of Sins to blind, I thought it would be a welcome addition.

7. Inspired Hex - Great energy management, and / or general purpose hex removal.

8. Drain Enchantment - Energy management, and help with those stubborn Monk or Elementalist bosses that just don't like to die.

As you notice there is not a res here. In my experience the Monk shouldn't carry a res, I inform the parties that I join that I do not bring a res, and that one or two of them should pack a hard res and the rest bring sigs. Hell, the casting times alone make after res cleanups horrid. I see no real downside with this.

Thoughts, suggestions, flames, etc... Are welcome, as i'm constantly learning, and hoping to improve upon my builds.

Heal Other > Etheral Light, imo. It heals for the exact same amount WoH would if the person was under 50% health. When used as WoH would be, it's an awesome replacement for builds that use elite energy management.

Also, MoR is pve is such a waste, OoB is so much better.

I'd also switch out Mend Condition for Ailment, since it has a faster recharge. I prefer Remove Hex over Inspired as well, simply for the fast recharge. Removing one hex every 20 seconds is pretty crappy.

Thanks for the input, its very much appreciated. I will test Heal Other, though i'm not all too partial to 10e heals. Though it may work better here as I have no real counter to spike damage from PvE Oni's and what not.

MoR vs OoB vs E Drain is a debate that i'm constantly considering. I see it something like:

MoR Pro's - Large energy gain, /Me support
MoR Con's - Sporiadic energy gain, possibility of strip, or not as much use for energy at time of removal

Drain Pro's - Large energy gain, more stable gain.
Drain Con's - Enemy may not have energy, closer to front lines.

OoB Pro's - Large net energy gain, fast / sustainable gain.
OoB Con's - Must re-heal self often, less useful skills from /Ne

Condition will be switched in, as I agree it is superior. I like Inspired Hex, as my experience with PvE hexes being a big problem is limited, and the energy gain can be quite nice. I will test Remove Hex more though, perhaps my dislike of it is due to the normal PUG's inability to call out conditions / hexes.

If Inspired works for you, keep it. I just like Remove because I can get rid of multiple copies of nasty hexes in a short amount of time. For instance, Inspired will be subpar in FoW when half the party catches SS. There are a lot of Mesmer hexes you will want to remove as well.

As for OoB, I find that I rarely heal my self after unless the group over-aggroed or we're under a low of AOE damage. (I played through all of the later parts of Prophecies with OoB and all of Factions without any trouble.) Being in the backline allows you to sac, then regen normally.

You could also consider Signet of Devotion, as it's a nice free self heal and can be used on others when you can get a 2 second cast in. It works well with OoB when you can sac, heal a party member in need, then use Sig on yourself.

Offering of Blood - Elite necro skill, sacrifice 20% max hp, gain 8-18 energy, depending on level in blood magic.

I like Healing Whisper a lot. I think it will work very nicely with channelling. I don't care much for the Healing Whisper-Etherial Light combo tho- Whisper puts you close to enemy lines and the likelihood of EL getting interrupted is far greater there. I'd take either but I wouldn't take both. Healing Touch is pretty nice, Devo Sig isn't bad either. I don't know if Dwayna's is worthwhile... even though if combined with a few enchants and Healing Light it can be a nice combo. I'd still opt not to take it tho.

Btw, if you have so many 5 nrg heals, you don't really need the Mantra of Recall. There is some wonderful new elites you can use instead. Healing Light is very nice esp. when combined with an enchantment, to bring the cost down to 2 nrg (!!!). Blessed Light is pretty nice, too- heals some and takes one condition and one hex off.

I'd probably do something like:

Orison
Healing Whisper
Healing Light (E)
Healing Touch - Sig of Devotion
Healing Breeze - Channelling
Inspired Hex
Mend Ailment
Res Chant

Thanks for the input everyone! Now that i've gone through more options in my mind, i'm begining to think something along the lines of:

Healing Prayers - 11 + 3 + 1
Protection Prayers - 4 + 1
Blood Magic - 10
Divine Favor - 9 + 1

1. Offering of Blood
2. Orison of Healing
3. Healing Whisper
4. Dwayna's Kiss
5. Heal Other
6. Healing Touch
7. Remove Hex
8. Mend Condition

I'm also curious about your opinions on this: I have 54 energy, do you think it would make sense for me to buy a +1 energy head, and put a superior healing on it. That would allow me to use the other 4 energy, at the cost of one point in healing. I personally think it makes sense, though that may just be me.
