/rt is ritualist, you can only use this if you have factions.

/mo is good for minion master, which can dish out nice damage with minions.
/me is for SS (Spiteful Spirit) which is also a good build for damage
/rt I dont know any builds, im guessing using channeling...

Urgh.... I hate it when people ask this question
No offense, but I hear this question all the time.

Any second works well with necro as primary. Just depends on what you do
  • Witch Hunter N/W
Use Spinal Shivers/Shivers of Dread + a cold dmg sword to shutdown and kill casters
  • Telebomber N/A
Use shadow arts to return to safety and necrotic traversal as a poison bombing skill.
  • Teleblaster N/E
Use Shockwave and other E skills that activate immediately to deal nice AOE damage to near by enemies while using necrotic traversal as an escape or to initiate the bombing
  • Bomberman/girl N/Rt
Use minions has walking bombs. Can also use various spawning techniques as a way to put a "timed fuse" on your bombs
  • Porta-Corpse N/R
You have a pet. YOu don't like your pet. You like what it leaves behind (an exploitable corpse)
  • Vampiric Companions N/R
VHorrors + Predatory Bond = Constantly healing necro
  • Spiteful Spirit N/Me
Curses + Domination = worthless opponent
  • Degen N/Me
Illusion & Curses have nice degen abilities that F--- the opponent everywhich way and sideways
  • Devil's Wrath N/Mo
    Curses + Smiting = Nice

Just some concepts for you to kick around. There are plenty of builds for a necro, so you can pick and choose what you want.

Just remember, Necros are the weakest of casters (physically). Although by all stats and such they seem equal, I find that b/c they have armors and skills and what not that make them prone to taking additional damage with certain attacks and such, necros are a difficult walk to master.

I'm a N/Me I also have a Rt/N.

Necros are self-serving by nature. They have the ability to drop enemies over time or to have a gang of minions to drop them like a rock. Mesmers can help with heal degeneration, removing hexes, increasing the defense of your character and duplicating your own spells.

Echo, Archane Echo allow you to duplicate your own skills (archane duplicates spells only, Echo is an elite that will duplicate any skill you have).

Combine Price of Failure with Spirit of Failure and you have a half-decent chance of not taking and damge from a foe, while having some chance to deal damage/gain energy from their attack (doesn't work vs spells or signets).

Ritualists as a primary can make your minions and spirits last longer (Spawning increases health of each minion and spirit by 4% per level). As a secondary, you can create spirits to aid your minions in battle (but each casting takes a while).

Benefits for secondary classes:
Ritualist - good healing; unlimited rez; nice lightning damage; not limited to number of spirits summoned

Monk - excellent healing; unlimited rez; smiting damage vs undead; remove hexes; condition remover

Warrior - good stances; free healing signet;disruption attacks; condition damager

Ranger - potential for free corpse; faster recharge; good stances; health regeneration without corpse/foes; disruption attacks; condition damager; limited condition remover

Mesmer - good disrupter; energy replenisher; good passive aggressor; duplicator of best spell (that you have); condition spreader; hex remover

Elementalist - "nuker"; reduces energy cost; good defenses

Assassin - good combo damage dealer; condition dealer;

Damage Dealer?

N/W, N/A, N/E

Problems:
N/W - makes you go into the fray. You don't have good enough armor to tank. Using Spinal Shivers will depleat your energy in seconds. You lose the ability to penetrate armor like Primary Warriors do. Stances from the warrior are good for defense.

N/A - makes you go into the fray. You lose many skill effectivness from the Critical Strike attribute (primary for assassins). As a Necromancer, you have weak armor, so without a shield, you are easy pickings for warriors (you must teleport in and out to stay alive)

N/E - AoE will make foes scatter. Potential to do massive damage though.

The choice is yours.

Enjoy.
