W/Mo build I played with
Recently rolled up a w/mo for Prophecies, and by lvl 11 I could solo Althea's Ashes quest without too much trouble. First four slots are sword adrenaline skills, and for the last four I used Essence Bond, for energy gain each hit (always full energy in pve, constantly getting hit), Live Vicariously, coupled with the skill that gives hp each swing..i forget the name, and Healing Breeze.
Zero energy regen with two maintained enchantments, but energy is almost always full from constantly taking damage and health is always rising. Takes a literal ton of damage in pve to bring me down. Now, this worked well in pve and made solo/farming questing extremely easy. So I figured what the hell, I'd try this build in the arena for kicks..
Dragon Slash, sun/moon, silverwing + FGJ for melee and then the four above-mentioned skills...no res signet ( i know i'm evil, but it was just a random arena test thingie). At any rate, I get in random match, and cast essence bond on myself...
and immediately start getting flamed by every member of my team. When I follow it up with Live Vicariously the flames increase one hundred fold.
I ended up playing this build for about two hours in random arenas and found that I could tank multiple warriors and/or assassins without too much trouble, could down monks with my adrenaline spike damage, and about the only thing that really took me down was mesmers (mesmers are the devil), because even my healing attacks and healing breeze couldn't counter mesmers ungodly dot dmg plus enemy melee damage.
So at any rate, what's so wrong with the build? I know i needed res signet, but damn...I required almost zero healing, i could dish out decent amounts of damage, I never ran out of energy, but I got flamed to hell and back just for using those skills..maybe i'm just too stupid to figure it out, but..I thought it worked out nicely.
Build I used in RA was
Healing 12
Sword 16
rest in Strength
Dragon Slash
Sun/Moon
Silverwing
For Great Justice
Live Vicarously
The 30 second Heal-when-you-swing spell...can't remember name
Essence Bond
Healing Breeze
Keep in mind, I was just playing around. This works very well in pve, at least at lower levels, and seemed to work pretty damn well in random arena. But I sure as hell took a ton of flak for trying it out.
