Default Hydra farming?

Is hydra farming possible with a ranger? If so what build would you use?

Problem is I don't see why you would want to, when other farming builds are in place and turn out more profitable.

The only way I can see for farming them would be a basic trapper build. Dump tons of traps, use apply poison when you pull, GG hydras. Only problem is that it's as slow as solo trapping anything else. I guess use the new trapper's focus elite so you can drop a few extra traps to finish them off.
I've tried it before trapper's focus came out and successfully killed 4 or 5 of them at once. Poison on top of everything else made it work.

a piece of advice: dont waist your time cuz it takes ALOT o time wit a trapper.
UW is worth it for drops, hydras no... trust me, used to be my fav farming spot until al of a sudden.....NURF

its still good with a 55hp for "quikie run", but to invest the time it takes with a trapper.... no way, i rather go to ToPK, more rewarding even if you are with an 8 group, if you spend the time equivalent to the tombs run (1 hour) on hydra farming

I just recently made a ranger and made up a build...
Here is a video of me killing one Hydra, niggest group I ever took on at lvl 13 was, 2( iwas using a 4-6 Dead bow from pre searing : ). http://rapidshare.de/files/20142541/gw_4_4.avi.html

My new build
Poison arrows
Savage Shot
Concussion shot
Read the wind
Favorable winds
Trolls
WD(Or throw dirt)
Storm chaser

Pretty easy to kill them at lvl 20 take about 20 secnds per hydra now I think

yeah, been doing this for months with this:

Marks - 11
Wild - 11
Exp - 9
BM - 11

Distracting
Savage
Poison Arrow
Predator's Pounce
Dryder's D
Unguent
Comfort
Charm

get a poisoner's string and put it on a collector's recurve. Savage Fireballs and Distract Meteors. The trick is interrupting the first volley of Meteors and then settling into a rythym. I don't normally take on 3 at once. Just drop 1 and run, then come right back. Just make sure you have a place to run to. Goes pretty quick and it's fun when I'm bored.
