AI on your elite (which you have your entire build based on) would not be a smooth move. Never felt like disabling two of my skills for energy; guess echo is a new hope for this skill.

Fatboy also forgot me and my WW =p good luck interrupting that ^_~:;

Renegade don't worry. It takes practice. Try the massive enemy skill casting time trick and practice with guildie monk in a scimmage. Get them to spam orison of healing (1 second) and just take a load of interrupts. If you get good at that move onto trying to interrupt healing touch (3/4 second).

Or try using migrane which makes foes cast 100% slower so interrupting becomes easier. Just make sure to cover it with more than one hex due to expel hexes being more widely used these days

Eaimirth, don't call me fatboy, I'm just big boned lol.
If I was prepared I could take on ur WW, mainly with guilt, diversion, blackout, hex breaker etc etc. Or I could just interrupt randomly and hope for a lucky hit I did that once when my HA team was losing and I managed to get RoF 3 TIMES !!!!! Bet that monk was shitting himself

Guilt & Diversion are toast...Hex breaker may be trouble.
WW will be much more difficult than RoF ^^; 1/8th~ instead of 1/4. Yet if its at random not sure that will matter much ^_^:;

Your best counter would be inspired hex.

I wouldn't be able to interrupt WW it would be impossible (except with migrane). Hex breaker + shatter hex would eat WW alive. I would blackout you and use guilt while your still blackouted (I undisable 2 seconds before you) then possibly run away muhahahaha.

Well I use hex breaker as well =/
But with inspired hex you could copy it; then use it against me. If ya can't beat em; join em =p (thus canceling my WW in the process of using yours while not exposing yourself to painful counters)

Best thing to do about WW is... ignore it

It can be spammed (at most) every 4 seconds. For a decent Mesmer, with decent energy management and a decent build (like me ! ), it triggers at most once every 3 spams. Well, not much of a problem, really : it mainly eDenies its caster, see ?

Personally I don't care about the damage at all. I like the fact that it forces the opponet to do something; or take damage. If it was "after 3 seconds they take x damage" I would not like it as much ironically. The fact that the opponet is tempted to fall into a trap is my favorite part of the skill.

-What the opponet knows;
In 3 seconds; he will take 64 damage unless he uses a skill.
More than likely; a mesmer is watching his every move.
-What the normal out come is;
They use a skill; they get power spiked.
They then take 64 damage.

However it is also in some cases a shutdown skill; after hammering the above into their head a bazillion times; they assume a mesmer is watching and do not cast for 3 seconds. With a recharge time of 1; you can disable 3 people with one skill AND deal them 64 damage per cast. I love this skill...

So, it's just hype... That's why i ignore it

But you're right to point out its -obvious- psychological pressure on many players.

Best move to do right there; play as if it isn't there.
