Default Mighty was Vorizun energy tricks

How well would this work?:

Say I have a Rt/Me and start with a +17 energy weapon set. I burn through all of my energy, then switch to a -5 energy weapon set, so I'm still at zero energy.

I use Ether Signet for say +14 energy.
(Would this put me at 14 energy, or 9, or keep me at 0 since I'd still be negative?)

Then I use Mighty was Vorizun, which I think gives you 20 energy minus your current weapon energy bonus.
(Would this give me +25 energy, or +20, or less?)

Then I burn through that energy, drop the ashes so I'm holding the -5 set again, and re-equip my +17 weapon set.
(How much energy do I end up with? 17, 22, or less?)

It seems like this could be incredibly useful, but I'm not sure if I'm
missing something about how the rules work.

yeah several skills for RT are unclear.

Siphon spirit is another one. does it work on ally spirits or enemy spirits?
I think its broken. because i gain no energy from my own or enemy spirits.

how much should we gain?

Spirit Siphon works fine to me. It works on enemy spirits and your own, depending on what spirit you have targeted. If you don't have a targeted spirit, Spirit Siphon will normally take the energy from the closest spirit, be it enemy or your own.

As far as your question goes Speedy, I don't know. I've never been big on the weapon switching stuff, so any comments would be speculation for me.

Vorizun wouldn't give you any energy, it would only increase your max amount of energy you can hold, so unless you can get 50 energy recharged instantly this build wouldn't really work any better than most...Vorizun is better if you use it before a battle, so that you can start with about the same amount of energy as you would have with a weapon, but while holding an object...thats what its really used for. Its plenty useful already, speacially with the armor bonus, it should be elite :P.

Vorizun [email protected] Fav skill eva1!!

I hope you're kidding about Vorizun being an elite.

You only get 3 more energy than a + 17 en weapon set and 5 more energy than a +15 en staff. You gain + 10 armor over a staff with a max defense mod. However, you lose all weapon bonuses such as skill recharge or fast casting. Only 2 skills benefit from holding an item. So it's really quite limited in its utility. It's great in the early portions of the game when you have crappy weapons, but later on it's not so great.

Attuned Was Songkai, now there's an elite.

I've done a bit of testing, and it appears that it works as I'd hoped. If you use Vorizun while holding a +17 weapon set, you only get 3 energy, but I already knew that.

However, you can use up all the energy from your +17 weapon set, swap to a +0 set, and you'll get not +3 but +20 energy from Vorizun. When you run out of energy again, drop the ashes, re-equip your +17 set, and you get a free 17 energy boost!

This strikes me as REALLY good.

OK. I just tested it and it works nothing like what you suggest.

If your energy is at zero and you swap from a +17 set to a +0 set, your energy is now -17. So you have to wait for some time to regen the 5 energy needed to cast Vorizun (Waiting time = 22/1.33 secs).

As soon as you cast Vorizun, if you're holding a +0 weapon set, you will gain +20 energy. However, when you run out of energy and switch to your +17 energy set, you lose 3 energy.

You get the +17 energy boost when you swith to the +17 weapon set after using other item spells, since they're similar to +0 weapon sets. However, Vorizun is like a +20 weapon set, so you actually lose 3 energy when you switch from Vorizun to +17 weapon set.

If it did what you say it does (which is gaining + 37 en every 30 secs or so), then it would be the best elite energy management spell, hands down. No such luck, however.

Yes my mistake. My plan was based on the idea that the game doesn't keep track of negative energy, but it does.

I didn't at first notice the time delay when you swap from the +17 to +0 while at zero energy. (part of the problem was I was only testing with a +10 staff because my rit is just a baby and hasn't gotten off Shing Jae yet.)

Sorry about that. Never mind.
