Default Modding Hammers

Greetings,

Newbie poster and newbie to the game here.
I've been playing constantly for about a month and have a few questions to ask about hammers.

I've saved enough money and found some good mods for hammers. My question is, what would be the ideal pve mods for a hammer? After researching, I would figure a furious/defense mod might be the best since alot of hammer skills are adrenaline based and lack of shield makes the hammer warrior vulnerable.

However, a health mod and sundering mod are also enticing, albeit alot more pricier. If you guys had a choice, what would u choose?

I know its a personal preference, but can someone tell me how much I can get a war hammer (Spike skin) with 15% (above health 50) for? I was thinking of modding a reg white version but that extra dmg modification is not listed. Is it possible to get that dmg mod on whites or is it just for purples and golds?

Thanks for listening to this new comer

Sundering mods are kinda like paying for nothing. They have almost no noticable effect.

From personal experience ...
Furios/vamp and a defense for PvE and Sundering and a Fortitude for PvP (sundering = yuck, but the little extra dmg can be helpful in pvp)

And selling a hammer ? haha, good luck with that ;(
Hammers these days are almost impossible to sell.
Crafter weapons (=blue) can have 15^50, I even think blue drops can have 15^50 ... But not sure about the last one.

Because of the high adrenaline cost of hammer skills, I'd say that a Furious Hammer of Fortitude would be most useful.

Head to Lion's Arch District 1 and buy Victo's Maul--it has the furious/fortitude mods I just described. It's only worth 5k and it's the only hammer you'll ever need.

although i'm new to the warrior profession, my warrior being my youngest character, i have to say i prefer the zealous hammer haft above all others. the hammer was from start my weapon of choice. having a decent collection of green hammers (but none zealous) i always find myself in the end switching back to my crafted 15>50 hammer, which i upgraded with a zealous myself. it really makes up for the pip of energy regen lost. i think it is extremly useful, and i value it more than my furious hammer.

this is just my personal preference though

Vamp adds much more damage than sundering. The little extra damage is tiny, and infrequent compaired to +5 every hit.

Cool, I was thinking a furious/defense mods would be best and logical.

Actually I want to buy the warhammer spike skin (because it looks cool imo). Dunno how much they go for with 15 dmg (above 50). Imagine wielding that along with Kurzick armor. You'll look like the Lord of the Rings character!

I currently use victos hammer, which I bought for about 6k. I like it alot but I dont like the looks of it. I know i'm being very superficial about it but I find that look bland, although it is a great hammer to use.

Furious definitely. Thorgall's is a good hammer (green) and cheap.
