Queen Farm - Ranger Solo build
################################################## #######
Ranger Queen solo Section 1/3
################################################## #######
First off, your need to make sure you have the following items:
-A good Max damage Shortbow.
-A good Max damage Longbow,recurve bow,or flatbow.
-Preferably use poison bowstrings and fortitude/shelter mods.
-You need 2 sets ( Yes, 2. ) of DROKS armor. One set has minor runes and the other set must have
superior runes. You dont need to worry about having 2 sets of beastmaster or wherever
you place your superior rune of vigor ( Major rune of vigor will also cut it ). Just
Make sure you have them in your inventory when you go out so you can switch when needed mid battle. Its best to
use the druids set.
Skills-
Apply poison
Hunters shot
Pin down
Dodge
Escape -Elite- ( Captured from Whuup Bumbull*? )
Troll unguent
whirling defense
Concussion shot
Points-
Spread your Attribute points as evenly as possible around Wilderness survival, expertise, and
marksmanship
Level-
You need to be level 20. This should of course be obvious.
Second of all, This build and strategy is not easy. It takes some skill to do right
and you will probobly fail the first three times. The upside to this is that its
actually pretty fun and intense, so you wont feel like your farming is a chore. If you have never done PVP I highly
suggest doing some since the fight here can get just as difficult to keep up with as HoH. If You have been relying
on a good guild and good items to get you through the
game up till now, you WILL get owned.
___PART 1 - Killing the Patrols_____
Basic strategy: The strategy here is to take on One Scarab at a time and run away from the rest. This could take some time but overall its worth it. Remember that scarabs
consider non scarabs to be enemies and will attack scorpions and griffons-This might help you in the running away part.
Equip Your LOngbow or recurve bow and your superior rune of MARKSMANSHIP.
Pick a target scarab and use apply poison, Hunters shot,
and pindown. Now begin to run away, use escape. The scarabs will begin to chase you
( patrols are about 4~5 scarabs ) They wont hurt you much since your running away,
and since you have only caused damage to one of them the rest will rarely use touch
skills on you. MAke sure to occasionally turn back and fire hunters shot or pin down ( still using
apply with it ) on your target your trying to kill. Also make sure to know where you are running so you dont aggro anything else. The best place to run is the ditch just
north of the queen. The scarabs will fight the scorpions there the first time and for the rest of the time your farming you can use the ditch as your place to lead them.
*Make sure to NEVER let the one you have your conditions on get near you. He will plague touch everything which will likely result in your demise.
*watch where you are running
*If you don t care about the items that can be dropped from These guys ( see part 4 ) A shortcut
to killing them is leading the griffons further down south to them. They will engage in a battle
that will kill them all much quicker. Your chances of getting an item when another enemy is also
killing them drops. If you poison everything during the fight you might get an item or two.
They will usually not be able to kill the warrior boss griffon, but they can kill the monk one.

___PART 2 - Killing the nest scarabs___
Basic Strategy: Killing the scarabs that are around the nest and setting up traps
is very easy, you just degen them to death without alerting the queen.
Equip your Longbow and Rune of superior Wilderness survival. Unequip your rune of superior
markmanship, you dont need it for now. Use apply poison and stand away from the nest and fire
an arrow at a scarab. Now fire an arrow at another scarab, and another. Just work your way around
and dont get close enough to aggro. If you aggro the queen will get off her ass and heal them, which
will suck. Eventually the poison will kill them off. You can either work your way around poisoning
them all at once or focus on one. Be aware that the queen will still attempt to heal them no
matter what you do, but if you dont aggro her heals will be half assed and not enough to stop you.
The best way is to just experiment with what works for you but they will go down.
*Again, using griffons is a possible shortcut. Its also amusing to watch. Doing this is easy, just
keep teasing the griffons until they get close enough to the nest to aggro it. Then use dodge to run
away to where you can fire at the chaos with your longbow and apply poison. Chances are they will
ignore you and continue to kill each other while poison slowly eats them away. Note that you may
occasionally end up with a griffon left over after the fight that wants to eat you. Use Escape,
apply poison, hunters shot, and pin down to kill it. You dont have to do this, I rarely do unless I
feel like getting straight to killing the queen.
___PART 3 - Killing the queen and her annoying ally____
Basic strategy: Master the use of concussion shot or fail miserably. Once the queen has it on her
she will try to get rid of it-Shortbow is your friend.
Equip your superior rune of expertise. Repeated use of concussion shot will dry you out if you dont.
Killing her ally- The queen is in a party with one last scarab that will use distracting shot
on you os often as possible. The best way to kill this little thing is to lead the queen and it
out of the nest towards north where the ditch is. Halfway there using pin down, poison, and hunters
shot on this guy. Now face the queen and use concussion shot on her, because she will try to heal him.
Now keep atacking the queen and occasionally reapply conditions to the scarab. Use the shortbow
to spam attack the queen while she is dazed. This may require
going back and forth alot but eventually he will die. If you cant hit her with concussion shot then
she will heal him and his conditions. Use whirling defense as often as possible. Sometimes its
just better to get the help of a griffon to kill this punk since his items dont really matter.

################################################## #######
Killing the Queen- now for fighting the queen. I suggest you back up and let all your skills
recharge first. Equip your shortbow and get NEARBY her as in how the game defines "nearby". Take
note that she will heal herself more the more conditions you put on her, however this doesnt
mean you shouldnt poison her. What you do is keep hitting her with apply on, and hunters, pin down,
ect. as normally fighting a scarab all the while waiting for her to use Either gaurdian or mark.
When she does, hit her with concussion shot immediatly, and then pile on pin down and hunters shot as she will still try to remove it. Continue to hammer her with your shortbow and reapply dazed as much as you can. You will also have to use escape and whirling defense a bit since her attacks will hit you for about 40, which can hurt after a while. Only use troll unguent in cases where you will die if you dont. Eventually she will be die. As for pressuring her, I dont know if its possible but I would say
no. When I first tried this build I did not have concussion shot, and instead tried to kill her by
luring the Warrior boss griffon. I am almost certain that she cannot run out of energy.
___PART 4 - Rewards ?___
Ill admit, the items dropped by the other guys seems more worth it to me then the Queens staff.
A few things Ive noticed that pop up frequently in addition to the obvious reason your doing
this run.
-Purple SPatha. It comes with pretty random mods and its almost always maxed. Dropped by moss scarabs.
I often get the cruel mod.
-Gold Accursed staff. I get this thing from the moss scarabs 2/3 runs. The second mod seems random,
but the first is almost always a near perfect hale mod. Hp+28~30. You will probobly be able to get
anywhere between 3-10k for this thing.
-Random purple shields. Often worth 200g, but occasionally Ive picked up some very nice maxed shields
with +60 health while hexed.
-Maxed purple weapons other then the spatha. Ive noticed poison mods and fire mods alot.
___PART 5 - Random hints___
1. Dodge is your OMG RUN AWAY MONTY PYTHON STYLE skill. Remember not to attack when using it. Great
during part 2.
2. Because of distracting shot, use troll unguent just before escape or whirling defense is about to
end.
3. For the best evasion time, use escape. When escape ends use whirling defense. When whirling
defense ends escape will be ready again. Add this to dodge and you should almost always have a
damage avoidance stance on you. This is especially critical in part 3 when fighing the queen head on.
4. Watch your radar. You will be running around alot during part 1 and you need to take note where
the scorpions are. If you run into where they normally mill about you run the risk of walking into
a bunch of traps which will be followed bu the scarabs catching up and ganking you= LoL gameover GG.
5. Experiment with switching Superior runes for minor runes. What I have stated is what works for
me and its been tested to work, but I am not you.
6. Learn to dodge arrows without using an evasion skill just in case. Strafe to the left ot right
in one direction and then the second you see them fire the arrow strafe in the other direction. As you
get used to this way of avoiding damage you should try using more then one superior rune at once.
It makes the farm alot less tedious.
