Henchies "not =" Players. Sorry, but I dont think when players see a mesmer they say "OMGZ, DISTORTION SPAMEERZ LIKZ DUNHAM !!!1!11!". Oh and another thing too, PuGs want 2 monks, not 1 healer and 1 prot specific. They generally take 2 healers or, rare to see those ones and misfortune for them, 1 smiter.

I can call them Jerks when they said Mesmers, Rangers, Ele non- nukers, Blood Necro and Smiter suck..... Or just ignorants. Thinking on henchies maybe makes bad reputations on these professions, but also on the player who said it as well.

Guess my PuG experience is different from yours, almost always if one is healing they will check and ask if one can go prot. Perhaps that is just my experience.
At least Dunham brings distortion ^_^~;;(I know waaaaaaaaay too many conjure phantasm spammers who don't bring distortion, gives me nightmares I swear, if you are going to spam a bad pve skill to the end of the universe and back at least bring distortion ='( )

We can't blame about different experience with PuGs. Maybe bizarre but, If I dont do some Illusion, I dont bring Distortion. At least, I bring one Mantra with me, depend the area, the monsters, elements ,etc, for self defense in PvE (PvP is Distortion)

I'm talking about the mesmers with only one skill on their bar; conjure phantasm.
By my comment I ment that at least dunham does something; or brings another skill for that matter.

No idea what thread you are referencing to; or if it is a thread at all. There was one about warriors, mending, and fds's awhile ago though.

Using distortion without at least 8 in skill in pve is suicide btw.
Maybe a mantra, but normally go cold turkey in pve due to self confidence in aggro management.

Depends on the quality of the pug. Newer ones just want 2 h34l0rz, more experienced ones take 1 prot, 1 heal.

And just for the record, THK is easier with hench than with real players 95% of the time. Especially as mesmer... Perfected armor? Ineptitude. Demetrios? Diversion.

I just successfully henched Abbadon's with that combo. I don't really recommend doing it unless you're looking for a lot of self punishment, but it works.

You know I do not have factions.
Why would I be even talking about factions?
Obviously I am talking about prophicies.
Thus I am talking about the conjure phantasm+distortion spammer who...sucks.

Meh I have better things than to argue about things I have not tried; like this domination henchie which I admit I have never used, nor heard about.
Power return, tried it, used it, made a few builds involving it, disliked it.
AL, tried, used, attempted to build around, disjusted.
PD, tried, used, attempted to build around, liked current elite interrupt more.
etc. etc.

Pointless for me to argue against something I have never tried; so Avarre yet again misunderstood something I said or is attempting to pick a fight with me for some reason I cannot comprehend. I do not have factions; I am referencing the prophicies campain. In no area of my post did I even mention factions. .../sigh Avarre what am I going to do with you?
