I don't have a warrior, but I keep seeing all the threads about warriors farming with mainly ripostes and deadly ripostes. I was wondering, since the touch ranger is about using the secondary as the primary, could a r/w be able to do the same farming runs as a war primary?
I don't know how it would do compared to the warrior primary, but I was just wondering if it was possible.
Touch builds are very slow from what I understand. I've never needed to use them and doubt I ever will. Touch builds can be used to damage anything, but Riposte builds require something to be attacking you to do damage. So Riposte builds are more specific to mobs that do melee damage.
The utility of the touch build is what increases it's appeal since you can farm almost anything with it. I personally prefer coming up with other builds with other various classes to increase farming speed...
I usually would go with a faster farming character, it is just that my ranger is the character furthest in factions so I was figuring make him into a clone of a warrior to be able to take down warrior mobs or assassin mobs easier.
I just don't know if the decrease in armor will kill me. I was figuring something like Glads defense, riposte, deadly riposte, bonetti's then maybe wilderness survival for troll ungent or some stance along with an ias stance and an interrupt.
Maybe a stance ranger with curses like spiteful spirit would do better? I just mainly want to farm some of the greens so I can get a bit of money for later before the greens prices are farmed soo much that they are down to 1-5k each.
warrior = 80 - 100 armor, 40ish boost from dolyak, 20ish boost from watchyrouself, 16 tactics for more damage in riposte skills, and stronger healing signet.
