A little help.
I really want to create a char that woudl be good in either elite mish.
Im a little noobish, i'll admit it, so i need a build that is not too hard to get, but i would liek to try a mesmer. Theyre always been unique to me, and whenever i see a mes im like "Good for that person..." because i think theyre a very underrated profession. So what im wondering is these things:
Once you get ferried, if you log out, next time you log in, will you still be in the elite area?
What build is the best and for which mission?
I'd like to try the deep, because im just plain poor, and i need a bit of a boost in my economy area. i tried urgoz's, with a MM (lol...) and i got owned, well our whole team did. but it was my first time, i wasnt really sure what was ahppenign. it was just a mass of enemies..
is any of the missions easier then the other?
anyway, thanks for all your advice, to me, mr. noob.

Once you have been ferried to an elite area, if you logout, you will still be in the area when you load up again. You can also go to your Guild Hall from there and back.
I'm not sure you should make a mes specifically for doing the elite missions. They are a lot of fun to play, but it will take a while to get used to all the skills. As for builds, once you've played as a mes for a while and know the skills, it should be easy enough to put together a build that suits your play style. I won't give advice on builds for elite missions, because thats still a long way off...
You are right, mesmers are under-rated; and for that reason you'll find it tougher to get into PUGs than you would if you were another profession. I hope you have a good, decent-sized guild ^^ Best of luck in your mesmerising...

Thanks, i do have a decent sized guild, and alliance, 1.6mill faction. But i was thinking of using their illusion magic, liek degen. However, i've3 heard pure degen isnt very good.

Pure degen takes ages to kill.
Put in some kind of disruption, and you're probably all right. Need to know the exact skills, etc., to comment, though.

Pure degen isn't for killing, it's for group pressure. Builds!
Mantra of Recovery (var1) / Mantra of Persistance (var2)
Phantasm
Remorse
Inspired/Drain Enchant
Res Skill
Spirit of Failure
Power Drain/Cry
<open> (Energy Drain in Var2)
Purpose : mass spreaded degen, change target after every cast to deal 8-10 damage per second on all enemies. Then go back over them to reapply other hexes. Reduce effectiveness of enemies that are not being targetted so when they are, they have less hp and fall faster.
Variant 2 : Longer lasting degen but slower recharge, but same tactic. Get degen on everything you can that isn't being targetted.

<- continues rant about degen in pve
Go with shatter hex where hexes are
Go without it when there arn't
Go with backfire in areas with spell casters
Go without backfire in areas where there arn't
Sense a pattern ^_~;;
Cept for empathy...generally go with it everywhere.

But don't call it pressure, it makes me think you're trying to make the AI monks panic.

An offer eh? So many questions, sooo many^^,
At least, when you die after you've stacked 3 hexes, you can go...
"Come on, come on, come on, come on YES yESSSSS YESSS!! You're dead hahhahahahahahaa!!"
I love shatter hex, and Backfire, and empathy, and ww!!
