This is what i use if i run
12 tac(minor rune)
12 str(minor rune + hat)
9 heal
[i use the str hat cause it looks cooler =)]
Skills:
1. Sprint (12s )
2. Balanced Stance (18s)
3. Charge (10s)
4. Healing Signet (130hp i think)
5. Purge Signet (Get from fishermans haven - 3s cast time/remove all hexes and conditions, you lose 10 energy for each one lost)
6. Endure Pain/Smite Hex (usually endure pain, but sometimes smite hex is better, e.g. if you have rust on you, its a real pain cause your purge signet will take too long to cast)
7. Balthazars Spirit ( i only use this in lornars, that is, to cover up mending - the aviacara guiles use strip enchant, they usually strip this when you get to the tunnel/first worm - i havnt tested using this for the whole run, it could work since you get hit allot)
8. Mending (+3 regen)
hope this helps

Here is my Droks build:
Sprint
Balanced Stance
Rush (can replace with another skill)
Mending
Heal Signet
Healing Hands(e)
Purge Conditions
Endure Pain
I find healing hands works better than charge. It has a quick casting time so its ideal when your running low on health.

To be a half decent runner these days you really need Holy Veil and Smite Hex. With the buff to Mind Freeze, those Ice Imps can be absolutely killer. Charge and balanced stance are a must, sprint is also pretty essential. To compliment this I would probobly go for Mend Ailment, Endure Pain and Healing Signet. With Endure being replacable with Shields Up, for preference.

Purge Conditions is more likely for the lower cast time and greater effect, you don't face a continuous stream of conditions on forge runs. In fact, I think the only place is the final stretch of Lonar's Pass, before you get to the next zone.
I use both Shields Up! and Endure Pain, but that's just me.
On the topic of hex removal, once you learn how to use Holy Veil, (I finally did! ), you don't really need another hex removal skill.

I run Droks post-patch with W/R. You can easily outtank the damage when slowed down by hexes if prepared correctly.

And how exactly do you do that? Or let me guess, it's a trade secret?

Not very difficult, I'm not really into secrets.
You have 3 running skills (Sprint, Storm Chaser, Charge). Sprint and Storm Chaser alone will keep you running at 25% faster all the time.
Use Charge + Balanced only when running from wurms and through a mob at the same time. Wurms themselves do little to no damage which you can easily out heal with +10 pip Troll Ungent or Heal Sig as long as you time it correctly. Precast Troll Ungent before running through some big mobs and you'll outtank the damage just fine. Endure Pain is there as well as a backup healing.

Explain how to use Holy Veil I don't get it. It seems like an awesome skill, but I can't use it effectively. I still always get Deep Freeze cast upon me

When you're about to go into a mob with imps/golems, cast it. Othewise, it stays off. Before you go and charge in, wait for it to recharge. Then go ahead. Stop maintaining it when you get hit with deep freeze/mind freeze/ice spikes, whatever. Since it's recharged, you can cast and un-maintain it as soon as the second hex hits.
:: DON'T :: use Holy Veil when there are no enemies to hex you around, for example, trolls, giants, grawl, etc.
BTW I'm not taking credit for this in any way, the people here on these forums were kind enough to provide me with the input to make my forge runs more successful.
Sorry I can't remember your name, whoever it was who told me about this strategy. Many thanks.
