I found these chests a few months ago while trying to use some of my limitless supply of shiverpeak keys. I had over 250 and was just running around snagging chests with my forge runner. It wasn't until this guide that i even thought about soloing with my monk. Great Job Uber. Another thing I've been doing is instead of going back south to stop the anti-farm, go north towards beacon's and farm some grawl. Easy kills, and pretty darn good drops, plus it's an easier run to the chests when you spawn on that side.

Does the anti-farm thing kick in for the chests, or just the monsters you kill?

Did this run once, but every time after that I've had issues with heretics in snake dance blocking choke points. The first time I dont think I saw a single heretic until I got to the one in Dreadnaughts, so there's definitely an element of luck with the spawns. Still, great fun.

Numa, you should only see a Heretic in Snakes at the start, and you can easily get past that by just continuing to run ^^ An azure will pop out and they will attack the heretic...and you are free to go on ^^

Earlier today, I saw otherwise. I found a heretic amongst the last group of summit you encounter, right before the first batch of trolls. It surprised the hell out of me, as I had assumed it was a Dolyak at first glance. A quick Shatter Enchantments threw me back at Rankor.
I decided to return under the same spawn, and indeed, the heretic was still there, amidst a fight involving Summit and Blessed Griffons.
Just saying there are odd spawns sometimes.

I like to use my warrior for this run, it doesn't matter your secondary profession. I just run past snakes anyway, I don't like the drops. Just distribute your attribute points among str, tac, and swords. I use 15k Plate and 15k Ascalon helm.
Sprint
Charge (E)
Balanced Stance
Deadly Riptose
Riptose
Watch Yourself
Dolyak Signet
Healing Signet
Giants are like punching bags in dread. Just use balanced stance, walk up to a group or 2, use the riptoses and alternate uses between dolyak and balanced so no knockdown. I personally like to hit Maw the Mountainheart just for kicks (and frozen shells). No fighting stone summit and I get the chests. I sometimes get a gold, but running snake dance is harder than killing everything here.

Guys, one simple question. Do you actually kill everything in Snake Dance then proceed to Dreadnaught or you just run the whole way.
I've tried (god knows how many times) to run there but each time I get bodyblocked, shatter enchant or lag to death.

I like to kill all of the giants just for extra loot. You do not need to but sometimes you get rares. (Got a gold raven staff with death magic+1 18% chance I sold for 75k).
PM me in game and I could show you how to make the run easily. (For warrior, if you are using 55 monk I can't help you).

its easy to fight with ur 55 monk. the giants have been dropping golds alot last 3 days. for me anyways. but have gotten anything better than 1 gold armor and 3 purple armors from both the chests, besides 3 max white serpants axes. oh well always tonight lol

I've finally done this run, and it wasn't that hard...except in the end I made one major mistake by accidenly running into the portal in the north...with 60% DP...
I was also very ill prepared for it, I seriously regret that (and even punched my friend in the face) when I found out I didn'd bring enough ID and Salvage kits...So, to everyone who is preparing for the run, bring around 5 of each kits, and you'll thank yourself for it. The remaining slots will be for golden items ^^.

After reading this and the other Frozen/Lost chests thread i wanted to see if a Ranger could make the run. After a subsequent miserable failure using Escape{e} I went to perdition, capped "Charge!", gave it a crack and succeeded.
Got diddly squat, but succeeded.
Attributes were:
13 WS (mask + sup rune)
13 Exp (minor rune)
9 Tactics
I ran the way there with only a staff (for the energy, i thought) but in retrospect, a sheild with decent mods would have been a much safer option. I never ran low on energy, but was taking lots of damage after Troll ran out each time.
Skills were:
Dodge (10s)
Storm (18s)
Balanced (15s)
Charge (~9s)
Shields Up (15)
Whirling (18s)
Serpents Quickness (only used to quick switch)
Troll (+9 regen)
Before through each lot of tundras/azures i'd cast troll, SQ, start running then hit charge and balanced immediatly after aggro started. SQ gets Charge ready to use again a few secs after it runs out. 15s of Balanced and 2 Charges seemed to get me through most of the knockdowns from say 2 groups of tundras. When balanced ends, hit Dodge to break aggro, find a spot and rest and regen.
I made it to both chests, died at the Frozen Chest (the tundras got mad), re-zoned, did it again, died, rezoned and the anti-farming code must have kicked in because the drops halved at that point.
Hope this has helped.
Cheers,
anom

I tried with my warrior (full W build page 3 or 4) and after dying twice, i managed to get to the chests. I got one major vigor, nothing extraordinary, but it was sooooooooooooooo fun ! Thank you for allowing me to enjoy this run. I like running between tons of monsters and killing giants ^^

I've been doing it with this same build for awhile now. The tac build is really a lot of fun in a lot of areas. You don't kill giants as fast as a monk, but you can run by anything you want quite easily. I go /Me and sub in Physical Resist for Watch Yourself. With a 17 sec Dolyak I don't really need Balanced for fighting.
(if nobody's said it yet) Frost giants really don't like fire weapons.

With my build I go out and kill all the giants up to the trolls and then go back. That seems to work for me and I haven't had the message show up for farming too much.

I prefer watch yourself to physical resistance for 2 reasons:
1) Watch urself requires a smidgen of adrenaline and phy resist costs 10 energy.
2) Watch urself isn't a stance, phy resist is.

Valid points on WY vs PE, but I like PE because it's fire and forget for 45ish sec, twice the armor boost, and keeps my stance shield and sword powered up all the time.
The 3 sec down-time for Dolyak is no problem (you WILL get a deep-wound most of the time) as long as use your healing sig before the timer. The energy only comes into play if I fight two mobs at once; I may find myself waiting little bit before using Deadly Riposte.
A zealous sword would take care of any energy issue, but I'm addicted to my fiery sword hilt.
