Cool Tundra Giant farming for 55 monks

I havnt seen any 55 farming b uilds for giant farming. so im going to post a simple build for it

The giants are right outside the ice caves outside of Droks. if you wanna run past all the trolls be my guest but be sure you take the left passage. keep going up that road and youll see tundra gians, trolls, and maybe once in a while a stone summit. Make sure you only aggro about 4 at a time cause more that that can be hard to keep up with

Skills
Prot Spirit
Healing Breeze
Soj
Balanced Stance
Zealots Fire
Balth spirit
Mending
Blessed Aura

Attributes
11 healing
15 Smiting
11 Protection
4 divine
6 Tactics

SOJ usually takes out giants with one turn is you have 18% enchant mod and it lasts 20 sec and does 50 dmg. Just make sure yo keep balanced stance up and time your prot spirt and healing breeze at the right time or you can get knocked down and it wil all be over.

Usually they drop huge jaw bones, bows, and purp and gold armor. its prety nice youll hit about 3 sup ever 2 runs or so.

As for weapons i like a 18-20% enchant mod wep and of course -50 cesta

Enjoy

sounds like fun. Must admit that I've never really explored that area past the trolls much myself. I'll give this a try tonight before i hit the sack.

--edit--
Tried it. Some Advice:

Switch out Bonetti's for Zealot's Fire for above build as Bonetti's isn't really even needed for the troll farming (it makes troll farming a bit easier but it isn't really nessesary).

Or Aftershock! My current '<3' skill for that spare slot to complement Shield of Judgment.

I dont see why to switch it out because if you have attributes so SOj does max dmg, then it should take them out in one go. also isnt zealots AOE so the giants wouldnt be effected by it? O well ill check it out, havnt gotten time to play in a while so ill try to post screens n atributes later. thx.

and opeth ill try that out, is aftershock an elite? and if not where can i buy it.

Zealots is an AOE if you spam it like crazy, but if your controlled (using a spell every 3-5 seconds, they wont run away. Also its better cause if you need some time just spam it, they will get scared and run away (but they come back cause they are bored).

Yeah but Giants attack you from farm away and if you use a spell with an AOE it wont effect them, but liek i said they attack really fast and dont get knocked down so they will be finished, just keep using balanced stance, healing breeze and prot spirit and youll be ok. also time your spells when you dont have balanced stance on, when you get knocked down use the spell right after cause theres less a chance of having another attack knock you down. still havnt been able to get on...moms doign some DVD thign and its taking forever.

When you are attacking the giants you dont have to stand still I suggest running up to one (or if they are clumped even better!) and keep it in range of zealot's fire. Mo/E should work fine with this also. And no, there are a lot of people who post in the monk section it's just that a few of us are a lot more active

Imo then the Giants in snakes dance is alot more fun than the ones in Talus c... I use the same skills as Arista.. And with that you can take on like 10 giants and a few trolls.... (very hard tho).. The balanced helps a Ton.. and so does Bonettis.. The Rocks they throw can KD too.. so Blocking them can help if its hard to get Breeze off.. Only problem about farming them In snakes dance is: If you kill all the trolls at the troll cave, and then kill all azures, giants, trolls and griffons from the troll cave and up to the next zone.. Then you'll be out of invintory space <.<... xD.. So thats the biggest problem i have faced so far

normally I don't take balanced...just get a good view of yourself and cast your spells when your on the ground. Normally never fails, and you can use the slot for something else. I normally only use Balanced Stance on Sand elementals outside of Heros Audience. Only because there are so many more of them using KD's

Indeed .

In the interest of making that whole run faster, dropping Balanced Stance and replacing it with Zealot's is key. It won't really make the portion of the run with the giants any faster, but it does speed up the Avicara, Trolls, Griffons, and Azures.

Anyway, just cast prot spirit, breeze, and SoJ and run immediately into a group of giants; they should kill themselves on your SoJ before it runs out, even if you casted it some seconds beforehand. Bonetti's becomes important here - just hit it and renew prot spirit or breeze as needed.

You might get knocked down through Bonetti's on occasion (due to Giant Stomp or the random boulder that gets by), but it happens rarely enough to warrant not taking Balanced at all.

You can get them clumpted together by aggroing them then backing up until they all run up and stand next to each other so they can keep you in there range. Then run up to them. Just like colfire knights in UW.

Just how many giants and trolls are there in Snake Dance compared to Talus Chute?

And is there a material crafter in Snake Dance?

Even if you space out skills with zealots on you, if you add SOJ to that they will still flee.

Not sure if i cant see or just confused but in his skill list he doesn't have bonetti's defence on the list just thought i should point that out.
