Problem Solved: Bramble Everthorn (builds enclosed)
I, and a number of others would like the green Everthorn's Chakrams - its very nice:
7-17 (req 9 dagger),
1/-1 zealous
15^50
+30
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE: The following information dates back to before calypso showed us 55 is the way to go, scroll down to later posts for more info.
Here's StellerAshes' thread on how to do it as 55 monk primary: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3044825
And see CalypsoX's proof on post #7 that 55 necro can do it too
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But! Everthorn is being a bit fiendish at being very hard to farm right now. I've tried as a dolyak warrior (blurred vision pwned me). I've tried as a riposte warrior (everything pwned me). I've tried as a 55 (everything pwned me again, I even got pwned on the way there).
He's also very hard, possibly impossible to pull out of his mob with a longbow. He can move a long distance from them, but they always come running when he is aggroed. I'd guess if you can lure him right, and kill him in under 14 seconds before his mates arrive you'd be ok.
Now to the purpose of this thread - with some discussion, logic and reasoned working together, can we come up with a way to topple this fiend and take the greens we so mightily deserve?
I'll draw out the mob we have to kill:
Kirins - barbs and vampiric horrors (EDIT: and Tainted Flesh, so thats basically a constant 4 degen if your build is melee weapon based
Gaki's - Disenchanting, interuppting, and life stealing (ignorage of prot spirit) spirits, not nice for a 55 but VERY easy to avoid.
Dragon Mosses - Blurred Vision, and damage from shatterstone
Undergrowths - Consistent damage, from armour penetration and crit hits (due to primal rage). Bull's strike too i think.
Bramble Everthorn - Ranged Dancing Daggers, close range he has a lot of powerful hits. He also cripples.
He is located a fairly short run away from Vasburg Armoury, just below the Eternal Grove mission outpost. Of course, you can't leave from there so Vasburg it is. On this run there is a mob of the enemies stated above (without the boss obviously), and a couple of warden mobs (traps, knockdowns, shatters).
When I get back from school I'll make a map with the easiest way to get there.
But while I'm gone.. any ideas?
UPDATE: ok, we've had definite proof that something involving 55 is the way to go. Be it the SoJ and holy strike combo, or the N/Mo 55 SS. Thanks for the discussion and effort you've all put in!

I think a Strength Warrior is the way to go. Using Sentinals Armor, dolyak sig, and the elite "Defy Pain" you can get a net of 154 AL and close to 800 health. Even against lvl 20 and above thats pretty massive demage reduction. Thats 3 slots on strictly defence. Now as far as healing goes you cant use tactics unless you use riposte as your attack. I suggest using "I Will Survive!" to counter it. Thats enough to minimize a lvl 12 shatterstone to (9+10) damage and heal it off in about 12 seconds. This will create a downward slope but you should have enough health for about.. lets go.. 40 seconds. Since i play the monk role mostly ill leave the damage to someone who knows it.. but thats the best i can give you for strength based defence, could always try monk spells i suppose...
Another thing that might work is dolyak signet combined with mark of protection that will turn those small damage amounts into healing for ten seconds (which could be used to extend your life when its most needed).
But the thing im worried about is barbs and vamp ignore even the heaviest armors so it might be wise to take Mark in place of Defy. The trade off is that Defy can last forever like dolyaks but Mark, while more effective only has 10 seconds as a base.
Keep in mind that shouts stack and you can get some pretty sweet regen from strength if you put your mind to it.
Good luck to those who would take it from here!

I think healing hands would be better for that purpose, as it has a much shorter recharge, is low cast, and only 5 energy + it can heal for more than the damage.
Thanks for your ideas guys, but i think the main problem with some of these is that blurred vision cannot be removed faster than it can be put on (usually), and with a riposte damage based build, you arent necessarily going to hit the correct enemy, with the undergrowths beating on you.

Melandru's Resilience? if the problem is hexes why not make use of it? Also To The limit might not be a bad idea for making use of Ripostes
Battle Rage wouldnt hurt, because 2 hits is enough for a riposte

Here you go:
55 Necro FTW! You can actually avoid fighting most of the mobs if you're careful and watch their patrol patterns. The only tough spot is a bunch of wardens you have to run through which sometimes have a mesmer, in which case put up your cover enchants and you're fine. Killing the boss is a bit tougher with the mob he's in because you get hexed with barbs, but I found reversal + orison (shielding hands would probably work too) and hiding around a corner did the trick. Avoid the gaki's line of sight most importantly since he casts the disenchant spirit.
Edit - Oh, just noticed you forgot about the pain/skill hungry gaki ritualists in your enemy list. They drop easily as long as you watch for the disenchant spirit and stay out of range when he casts it. To be honest, barbs can be a problem if you aggro entire groups here, which is why hiding around corners is your best friend, because the gaki, spirits, and dragon mosses need line of sight to hit you. Taking out the mosses and kirin (and boss for that matter) is a snap. And if you happen to die, relax and switch to your non -50hp offhand, giving you 33 health, and an even easier time killing them (in this case, you can stay in range of whole groups).

Nice one! I tried 55ing again and got stuck like this:
After another 10 minutes I gave up.
SoJ works a charm against the normal enemies (even the gaki is easy, you just move away when he starts casting disenchantment), and thus I killed every mob on the way there except the wardens (shatters ftl). Perhaps if I echoed SoJ.. But then I'd have no bonetti's and no sprint..

I don't see why you can't just copy my bar, except with SS replaced by SoJ and probably orison with echo or maybe zealot's. Nothing interrupts here, so you don't need bonnetti's, and if you killed everything, then why bother with sprint? Heck, go Mo/N with SS!

I can't copy your bar because that pic was taken 5 mins before I read your post, and 8 mins before i posted : /
Bonetti's was for energy and reducing pressure, and yes you're right, I need to get SS :P
I tried echo SoJ like I said, it still failed horribly.

The pre-searing -20 hp icon is even better. 13 max health ftw!

You can 55 this one with a monk too. It takes a bit of practice and patience but it's doable with any 55 Mo/*.
Proof? Look at the attached.
Oh and, I didn't bother killing a thing on the way, which makes the run faster IMO.
Edit: Well... when I said any 55 Mo/*, I meant any 55 monk with a 20% enchant mod and 200 attrib points...
Edit2: Just sold it ingame for 90k.
Edit3: (Yeah I like the edit button a lot) Wardens are your friends here, because their bramble and lacerate will actually help you out because SoJ -> knockdown -> 5 degen on them (as long as the wardens themselves can't get to you).
