Challenge: Four Man ToPK?
I'm tired of B/P groups and the old-fashioned balanced groups. It seems impossible to solo new UW. So let's try it with a higher number. The objective is to create a build to successfully complete the whole of ToPK, without having a full group (though a 6 or 7 man group doesn't seem too attractive, I want to shoot for 4 or 5 man team).
To post a build, please list the professions, skill templates, and a run through of the role of each player as well as the whole team. Pics and Vids are optional and very helpful =]
I'll try and start off the builds:
Four man group:
Mo/W= 55 monk
E/R= Perma-Obsidian Flesh
N/Mes= Bat/Blood Spiker
Mo/X= Boon Prot
The 55 monk has the classic template: 5 base 55ing skills+ Shield of Judgement, Blessed Sig, Bonneti's Defense.
E/R should have Energizing Winds, Obsidian Flesh, Serpent's Quickness, Troll, Rez Sig, Ward of Stability, Kinetic Armor, Stone Daggers
Nec should have BR, BiP or Blood is Power , Well of Blood, and your decision of a blood spiking template (optional: Mo secondary for secondary healing instead of Mes)
Boon Prot monk= there are different variations to Boon Prot, use what suits you
Notes: The Nec may switch to Death to deal dmg (putrid explosion looks nice here) but should still have BR on. This build is untested, and I can already see holes in it =/ Anyone who is interested in experimenting with my build pm me IG, Xiaxhou of Trinity.
Well expecting fantastic attempts, and I offer my service to help test out anyone else's build. Good luck to you all.

I was thinking that Obsidian Flesh on the 55 to prevent things such as rend enchant from chained souls or energy surge, but I forgot that energy surge is actually AoE, meaning that if the ele got e-surged and the monk was within range, the monk would also suffer the dmg...... Well there's but another hole found in my build. Well good looking out, and still looking forward to attempts.

I don't think that stone daggers and blood spiking will be able to outdamage the natural regen of The Darkness when you also factor in the three of them spamming diversion, backfire... edenial... their wanding...

Well remember with just fingers of chaos
You Can't use Warriors to attack because they inflicts blind and weakness.
You Can't use Ranger stances because they always hit rangers
You Can't use hexs and have a nerco be the guy to hit because when they attack lose hexs
You can't use an ele without mantra of resolve beause they interupts eles
You Can't use a 55 monk because they remove enchants and fingers of chaos is a SKILL not SPELL (so spell breaker doesn't work)

I have four manned ToPK before. A Warrior tank, who would now be W/Rt, a Mo/Me backline bonding the tank and dealing some DD, whos class I would keep the same, with a Mo/Me heal / smite monk, who would now be a Rt/Me, and an Ele, who would now be an E/A.

It's been done with three already, no?
I'd use a war, monk, and necro.

Yeah, ditto. Id really like to see an area that combo COULDNT 3 man. *ponders* Urgoz is the only possibility, and Im pretty sure I can four man that, given enough time.
[the double bark room would be tricky, but Ive got an idea for circumventing that...]

End area of Kanaxai, considering aggro splatter and degen, would be rather... amusing for a 3man attempt.
Nothing in Prophecies can hold back the W-Mo-N team though.

Why obsession with bonders? Warrior with dolyak and watch yourself and a decent shield takes like <10 damage per hit anyway (not even factoring stances yet). War/mes tanks, monk is SB with whatever heal, necro is nmo with res, SS, barbs (for wurms), etc. Monk should probably be /me for resolve.
If you wanted to add a 4th, you could probably add anything. Barrager with interrupts would work (in that case they take the hard res, nec goes /me for resolve, NOT arcane echo).

They hit like 90~ base on a caster.
1/2 for 100AL vs phy warrior armor, thats 45.
1/2 again for dolyak + shield (actually divide more but meh), thats 22
3/4 for Watch yourself, thats 16
-7, or -9 depending on shield, thats 5-9 damage, on estimation.
Not counting evasion stances if you choose to use them, or guardian.
I'm sure the warrior is shaking in his -2 damage boots.

Four manned it the day after it came out.
Two GvG style Boon Prots, a guy on his Griffon faming W/E, and an SS Necro with four skills on his bar.
It was something like:
- Two Mo/N Boon Prots with the bar in the screenshot. (Other Boon Prot had Rebirth instead of Smite Hex).
Keep everything alive, clean up hexes and blind on the warrior. Kite like a pro if something breaks agro, as you rely on enchantments which Fingers of Chaos would have away.
- SS Nec with Spitefull, Sympathetic Visage, Blood Ritual, Rebirth.
Spread and cover Spitefull where possible, Blood Rit the monks when neccasary. Hard res.
- W/E Tank with Dolyak Signet, Cyclone Axe, Eviscerate, Executioners, Balanced Stance, Healing Signet.. and something else.
Tank, controll agro, try to hit things.
(Weapon slot empty as I had just been checking out Victo's Blade.)

I disagree, doing that will destroy ALL your energy in about 5 seconds. Glyph of concentration is so much better, due to the fact that it can be cast up to 15 seconds before you cast the spell, and has a two second cooldown, plus, 1 shot 5 energy cost, as many interrupts as possible are resisted.
I have a two man build for it, still practicing, when we get anywhere significant I'll post a screen. (No joke, the build does work, just almost impossible to use.)
Also...

That is so close to the actual tanking build we use...
And with the warrior thing, I think full defensive ele's can take more damage.
The grasps actually hit for about 133 damage to a 60 armor caster.
Earth armor spells=+164 armor (assuming your earth magic is 16 and you didnt buff any with glyph of ele power.)
Since you are including the choice armor of 2 absorbtion, we are going to assume the ele has tempest armor. +10 more armor
Thats 174 armor, or 95.1% damage deduction, in the end, you take 6 damage from a hit (unless of course you have life bond, and dont have a 4 damage absorbtion shield, both of which I have for this build, thoroughly making me immune to most damage, with the exception of grasp attack skills), and are immune to spells.
