Default Thirsty River Warrior/Monk runner?

Ive seen multiple warriors do thirsty river single handedly, and charge 5k a person, thats 2k more then forge, and you get items, xp, and its shorter.

could anyone please tell me the build for one of these runners, since we never have favor to do UW or FoW anymore

First thing you MUST do, is study the patrols... knowing the patrols is key to being successful. I myself have tried the run, but have never completed it.

A general build goes like:

W/Mo
Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash
Savage Slash
Switch skill (e.g. Vigorous Spirit, Bonetti's Defense, Balthazar's Spirit)
Healing Breeze
Healing Hands (E)
Mending

Tweak as necessary. Don't forget you can always cough up 5k to see it in action.

Tried this awhile back with Watch Yourself and Dolyak Sig for tanking, was able to get to monk boss, but even with mend condition I kept getting blinded too often to deal enough damage. There is a way to lure the different teams to fight each other, that may be the key.

Have you SEEN them do it, as in paid and observed? I find it difficult to believe a single W/Mo could take down the priest and / or Monk boss in 2 minutes solo. Or at all, for that matter. But hey, what do I know?

it can be done because i paid for a run a few months back from a guy in KOTR.
he was able to it with me at lev 10ish and the rest henchman.
if your looking for quick cash, its usually only for one person service as your are not able to solo it, so the droks run is still more profitable.

It usually takes 20-30 minutes for the entire run, and yes, a W/Mo can do it solo (no henchies, no help from party members).

The idea is simple, since the different groups are hostile to each other, you get them to fight. That'll buy you enough time to take out the priests and the bosses. For the monk boss, lure him out of the cage (and out of spell-casting range of the priest), and keep him busy with the adjacent group while you whack away at the priest, one on one.

yup, but very important, after killing the monk priest!
don't kill the other priests!

You will need one of the teams to kill off the monk boss
Otherwise he stays alive alone which is pretty stupid (no u cannot kill him alone!)

I have done this run 7 times succesfully now, I'll start asking for payment

Its really not that hard if you put any thought into it. I run it onn both my war and MM. In some ways I perfer doing it on my war as I don't have to listen to people whine about having to help/die at the start for minnions.

If you are going to run it please make your runs free or solo until you get it perfected. The first time I had this run for my noob it took less than 20 min was super fast and wonderful. The second time the guy took almost an hour and a half and it cost the same both times
actually after an hour he said brb going to grab some dinner. I had wasted and hour and paid half so I wasn't gonna leave

Excellent build to do it with.

Yes, studing the patrolss is the key to success. The first ones easy, just run in kill priest, kill boss then kill each patrol. Second, get the 2 teams to kill eachother while killing priests, and I dont know about 3rd.

That build should work fine but it's very hard to get the second patrol to all attack eachother and survive because when you go to aggro one side it rapes you while your running. anybody else have any imput on this please anything will be helpful.

W/MO
Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Thrash
Savage Slash
Healing Breeze
Healing Hands (E)
Balthazar's Spirit
Mend Ailment

The first group just charge straight to the priest and take him out. Then you'll face...

Boss #1 Mesmer Type - A walk in the park. I bring Savage Slash to interupt his ether feast whenever possible to speed things up

During the second part aggro both groups of enemies and get them close together. The groups are hostile to each other so they'll start fighting each other leaving you time to get both priests and the bosses...

Boss #2 Elementalist Type - again not very difficult. If he pulls off Kinetic Armor back off for a bit and wait for him to stop casting spells on you and then count to 8 (that's how long Kinetic Armor lasts and it gets renewed each time he uses a spell within the 8 seconds it's up). You don't have to do this but I find it speeds up the process tremendously since he doesn't have that massive armor buff up and running. Kinetic has a long casting which makes it easily interuptable with Savage Slash.

Boss #3 Necro Type - The easiest and most pathetic boss for this mission. As long as he's in your aggro he'll continue to sacrifice himself to death. I usually just leave him alone and kill everything else around me first because by the time I get to him he's pretty much 2-3 hit kills.

This next and last stage of the mission pits you against 3 different hostile groups. I aggro the Ranger and Warrior's groups first and put them in battle against each other. Then I proceed to kill off the "WARRIOR'S PRIEST" first and slowly but surely I would also take down the Warrior boss as well. Now some of you are probably wondering why I killed off the Warrior boss and his priest first and left the Ranger's alone. The answer is simple. I want the Rangers group to stay alive and continue resurrecting. I'll explain why shortly. Since the warrior boss is dead my next target is the Monk boss. To kill the Monk and the priest is arguably the hardest part of the mission but totally doable. The trick is to lure the Monk boss out of the range of his priest and get the Ranger's army which you had strategicly allowed alive to come and not only distract the Monk boss but to help you slay him as well. Last but not least is the Ranger boss. Might be a good idea to bring Mend Ailment or something because being blinded all the time just makes the fight that much longer.

Boss #4 Warrior Type - Not much to say about this one. Just keep yourself healed and bash his face in.

Boss #5 Monk Type - A pain in the ass if you screwed up and killed off every other priest before the Monks. You can't fight him alone. Not as a W/MO.

Boss #6 Ranger Type - Besides being blinded the fight really isn't too difficult. Just like the Warrior keep yourself healed and bash his face in.

*TIP*
Keep an eye on the clock. Every 2 minutes any priest who is still alive will resurrect their army. It's a good idea to a)kill the priest asap or b)get out of the enemy base before this happens.

All you need to do is click on the Ghost and he will stay there... I am going to have to give this a shot with my Sword and Axe Tanks.

this mission is so easy! why pay 5k to run we usually finish it in under 7mins, with the guild! WHy! But nice to know it can be soloed but it takes what 20-30 mins to complete, by that time you lose the bonus and why when with the guild it can be done in under 10!

????????????????

You have to understand that not every guild does that.
