I have been trying to solo a group of 6 Oni in Rhea's Crater for a pair of the new green daggers that came out in a recent patch.
I've tried various builds, such as builds involving riposte or grenths or spiteful spirit. The SS build I tried, basically putting SS on two Oni and trying to keep up block/evade stances like Defensive Stance or Shield Stance, seems to get the closest, leaving the 6 Oni at about 20% health before I die.
The problem I seem to run into is that Fox Fangs cannot be blocked or evaded, bleeding slowly kills me, and I can't get enough Energy or Adrenaline to keep up either SS or the stances. Also, Healing Sig doesn't help much because I get hit by about 3-4 Fox Fangs while I'm trying to cast, basically making it a waste of time.
Now maybe i'm going about this the totally wrong way. I've never tried soloing Oni, and I thought maybe Gladiator's Defense might work better, but unfortunately I don't have that skill.

So, if anyone has a good Oni soloing build, please help me out! Keep in mind though, with my standard Riposte build (dolyaks, riposte, deadly riposte etc etc) I can do 3-4 Oni pretty decently. The fact that there are 6 Oni in a group is what makes this such a challenge.

One last thing I forgot to note, these Oni are level 28 and use Shadow Shroud, which prevents you from putting enchantments on yourself for 7-8 seconds, so that puts a big dent into /Mo builds.
I tried for awhile with the Live Vicouresly/Mending/Vigerous spirit build that Fine Behind told me about before realizing why I was dying so fast.

Gladiators defense + the 2 ripostes, use shield bash + On your knees when you knock something down in order to recharge gladiators

usually onis kinda nuke themselves out from one round of Gladiators because of their Demonic Ability skill. just in case, u can recharge your glads and use it again when the first expires

PS oh sorry, i didnt read they were with another set of skills there ^^ this might not work now

yeah thats a norm of mine (not so much the mending) but live vic should stick on you as a maintain. right just don't plan to put your own enchants on

actually stuff laying waste to enchantments wouldnt be bad especially if your not leveraging glad def - demonic agility is a 30sec enc and shadow refuge, of course it's not like you'll want to be wanting to have to cast a lot...

if wiki is right they dont actually block hits a lot so zeal prob good idea, I got it in my head maybe they had crit D and hp returning as they crit too but I seem to be wrong. and no dark apost which would make maintains go down the drain... hmm I think I had deeproot on the brain, yeah that was it. actually these should be easier than a pack of deeproots anyways

so here maintains are good, you should be hitting fine (zeal, live vic), they'll spam hit you (consider essence bond or balt if got energy attks to spam), mix in some smart stances, and throw energy and adrenaline attacks back at them - both should be working pretty well with all the carnage going on.

wonder if you did ss and reckless haste, the latter effects them all - even faster attks but missing and leverages the curse you put to make ss effective. here you wouldnt be so interested in balt or essence as they'd hit you less, and their fox fangs could still fail with an outright miss

ok you had mending with live vic to fight the bleed, plague touch maybe? of course gets costly to keep sending it out as they spam but helps to kill.. and if you didnt go with reckless (or figure it wouldnt impact you overmuch) you could go back to adding a balt or essence for more energy and spam touch a little more to mitigate the poison. I'm thinking cyclone axe to help with zeal mod and adrenaline, otherwise maybe leave zeal mod at home on sword. Not sure what assassin armor they wear, might even be worth testing if they have any different damage to slash/pierce/blunt, 15 less armor might help. Course they probably just leverage something else/doesnt matter.

my necro uses reckless haste + ss and it just own them. cant solo em cause not enough AL or self healing but with the ~40% miss chance + some 75% evade I think it can be done
