Does max energy ever go up? On my me/n level 6 I have a hard time preserving energy. I am usely always down at 0 by the time I have taken down 1 mob

you get better weapons and armour that give you more energy, i have 54 energy on my mesmer with out effecting my regen

And energy management is one of the finer points to playing the game. Its something we all struggle with at some point. Except the Mending toting whammos that only use adrenaline skills.

Your maximum energy will be increased, but if you run out of energy with a low maximum, chances are you'll still run out with a higher max because the underlying issue of a skill imbalance is not resolved.

Make sure you have enough energy recovery (obvious ), drawing from either inspiration (I'd advise power drain, leech sig, energy tap) or domination (guilt or shame). Usually leech signet or power drain alone, when using longer lasting hexes is enough to keep you fairly balanced.

You shouldn't worry too much about low level. It's easy to reach level 20 within a week or so and then thats where the real planning begins.

You'll want to look at armors and also weapons and weapon mods. Collectors have some good weapons and/or items like Chakrams. I have a collector's Chakram that gives me a total of +23 energy. It's northing flashy, but who cares.
