55 w/mo question
I know these are annoying threads bcuz they arent actually a build but more of a question but here it goes :
If you 55 with a W/MO could you get 0 dmg intake instead of 5 with sup abs and knight/ascalon boots?
I highly doubt it but could we maybe change the order Ex: prot spirit then sub abs and boots or vis versa...

All runes and armor bonuses are calculated into the damage taken before Protective Spirit is. So no, you will still be taking 5 damage per hit.

umm ok but what about the 2nd thought? what if you were to take off your boots and the piece of armor then cast prot spirit then put your boots and sup abs on after?
Would this work?
It sounds like it should... but knowing ANET they probably thought that thru already... eneven though it would be nice to have some confirmation from someone that even with that order of things you still takes 5 dmg
PS: i might try this out if no one says anything but i dont want to buy allthe runes and/or armor (im cheap)

nope. prot spirit reduction happens after all other damage absorption. prot spirit reduces the damage that you would take. the damage you would take is the damage that goes through all of the armor and reductions.
if this was not the case, people would be running prot spirit + shielding hands to take no damage at all.

I don't believe this is true. If you cast Protective spirit for example, and then someone covers it with Life Bond/Barrier, the damage would be reduced by half, ie 2 or 3. Of course the PS would soon run out and need to be reapplied, at which point you would be taking the full 5 damage.
At least this is the way it was before.
