Necromancers - Unappreciated??
Seems like Necros are not really wanted on a lot of teams – I was trying to get a party together for the Thirsty River mission, and was having difficulty getting on a good team - every team wanted Ele's or Monks. After a while, I finally get on a team, and what a team! At first they weren’t so sure cause we had two Necros, but they were glad they did when the mission started. We talked over what to do and decided to go with myself N/E went as Blood Spiker and another N/Mo went as MM. We also had 2 Warriors, 1 Mesmer, and 1 Monk. I never had so much fun on a mission, because everyone worked together, no one ran ahead and aggroed everything – and I must say I was doing some heavy damage as a Spiker – brought some skills I never really used before and I think I may use them all the time now. We finished Mission and Bonus with only 1 death (Me cause I was stupid and got trapped), and fairly quickly. My point to all of this? Bring two Necros of different specialties on these Missions, and everything will be A LOT easier. Minions all over – Rotting Flesh, Suffering, Weaken Armor, and Vampiric Touch are quite a deadly combo Plus if there were large groups I cast Meteor Shower or Meteor to make them easier to take out.
Guess I was happy with the build I was using… of course the dozen or so Minions helped out as well! All in all I think more people should try out the two Necro teams, I think they will be pleased with the results.

Why Vampiric Touch versus Vampiric Gaze? With that amount of Warriors/Minions, you shouldn't have to come close to the battle.

My Necro can be all magics (got 15k set for every magic ). I recommend to have armour and scars so you can get every magic up to 16 as a necro. Ppl always want a MM or a SS necro. So it's good to have armour for that. Some teams want to have the dmg from a blood spiker.
I know it's hard to get in teams and thats why you should have armour for every magic, so you can always fulfill their wishes. If they want a SS necro, you can be one, if they want a MM you can be one. You'll be invited all the time then. I have my upper armor for all magics the same (exept the scar paterns for every magic). I just have 3 boots, for every magic 1 and 3 head scar paterns, also for every magic 1.

To be versatile I usually just put a superior on each type of face scar.
Gives +4 to an attribute and can be exchangeable quite easily.
Only superior i don't use is soul reaping.

Necros unappreciated? Not even close!!! SS/SV 2man UW runs? MM with enough minions to outdmg your entire party combined without you ever having to step anywhere near danger? That sounds l33t to me.

Good points. Just go to "Deldrimor War Camp" and "Temple of Ages". They're always asking for necros, but we were talking about missions, necros are unappreciated for mission parties.

only newbs dont appreciate necros anywhere in this game, not just farming outposts. unless your in PvE trying to be a spike or blood degen necro, then thats prolly why they wont invite you, blood in PvE should be helping the party, not doing 60 damage inconsistantly

For giggles, my guildies and I (3) went to Great Northern Wall to help a low level player through. No charge just advertised and whipped up a storm. We had a lvl 20 Mo/N, a lvl 20 W/E, and my lvl20 SS/Batt Nec. We waited after the video and killed ALL of the charr, laughing the whole time. The Lvl 4 Nec that came with us lvl'd up three times in two missions. Then I switched to my MM build for the Fort Ranik mission. Hehe, 18 Minions and 10 Fiends with the monk helping throughout. We didn't bomb the Charr instead we ran out and fought them all. The kid was laughing the whole time and thanking me for bringing my Nec. I still think the newer player appreciate free help the most. But Sorrow's is where I feel most appreciated.
