Off-hand item Question
I would post a screenie but i dont ahve time at teh moment, but i have an off-hand item that has +12 energy and a mod that is +15 energy with a - energy regeneration.
Most of the monks I see have around 52 energy so if i used that +27 energy from the offhand plus the 52 energy, that would be a wopping 79 energy.
Is the extra 27 energy worth the - energy regen? i would still have a +3 regen but i dont know if it would still be a problem.
BTW im a Mo/Me if that makes a difference. (thinking about changing to a Mo/N for the SR and OoB and since i have experience with Necros.)

Yes there is:
With this and my HoD sword I have 69 energy... however the negative one energy regen really does hurt IMO... I pack it as an F3 option so when I have no energy (which is VERY rare) I take it out giving me the boost I need to put off those last heals.
EDIT: You probably want to know where to get it? I can't remember to be honest.. I easily found it by searching @ guildwarswiki.com... its a collector in the desert...

wow, thats pretty much mine but mine doesnt have the +30hp and is gold, (that ones nicer).
Also, HoD is Henge of Denravi? thats a farming sword right? with enchantment mods?
also i wasnt really planning on soloing with this monk, just being the healer (so fun.) so i hopefully wont need the sword, from what ive heard they are very expensive.
ty for the reply.

Well the enchantment mod is something u can put on the sword, the nice thing about the sword is the +5 energy and the ability to place an enchantment mod on it..
So in the end an HoD Sword (+5 energy + Enchantment Mod) + Offhand Item Like the Stoneheart or the collectors Ankh which I posted above is better then any staff out there.. most energy u can get from a staff is +15 this you can get +17 (with just HoD & +12 simple Offhand)... + enchantment mod + skill recharge etc... in the end u get better options I think.. even if you use a sword with a +enchantment mod on it and an offhand is better then a staff..

Switch to any -regen offhands in emergencies, and only when you need to cast something. Switch back to the slots that give +4 regen whenever not casting. They're just for emergencies, really; I don't see any point in running a set where you're constantly not at +4 regen, unless you know a fight is going to take less than the time it takes for your energy to reach zero.

As a sidenote the -1 energy regen takes 45 seconds to level with the 15 energy gain. So you gained what you would've in 45 seconds basically.
