We have a mod now?
I'm vaguely amused by the fact, DESPITE all the huge (and wrong) assumptions the build works on, even if they were true, it STILL wouldn't work.
Mantra of Recall (10e)
Mantra of Concentration (use resolve if trapping ftw, 5e)
QZ (25e)
Serpents Q (5e)
Well damn, 45 energy gone. Nothing left for your 10 / 15 / 25 energy traps.
How did you even assume that you'd be able to get traps off in the first place? Of course not counting all the other flaws from above.

Yes! Let's expect the foes to wait for you to set up your traps then step on them!

If you want dmg as the focus of your mesmer.... don't be a mesmer. Build won't work anyway, you aren't using any spells. You can't stack Mantras as they are stances. So you would be much better off as a fast cast elementalist if you want dmg.

Zomg fo sho frenzy will give you +33% trapping speed too! 2 traps per second, you can set 100 really fast! You take 2x damage but who can come near you when you set traps so fast, like lightning!
Heheh... this thread is fun. I think it needs to be closed now though

Does fast-casting work on pet attacks too? Maybe if he threw in a pet, it would up the damage considerably
Seriously tho, dont worry about it, OP....we've all posted a lemon or two in our times. Just gotta laugh with it and be happy you managed to make so many people's days.

Well, I seriously doubt the serious damage this build could deal. Thus, my answer to the question : No, this is not the best build ever. Whoever posted it on that other site is a fool of the highest calibre, or close to it.

alright children, enough already.
now for some more constructive criticism:
this build, if actually working, assumes that your opponents will come after you and go into the trap area. however, it is completely defenseless against anything with a long ranged spike attack.
the beauty of guildwars is that there is no such thing as an "overpowered" build, and a build based strictly on damage output will not do very well in all situations.

That equals the perfect response. Congrats moriz on the first non-flamming reply.

The fact that this build is a fast cast trapper already makes it a joke.
