Question Need help with farming...

I've leeched a few builds and now i need to know how to exactly use em

Could someone help me with griffon farming outside of augury? (Build + explanation + Attributes) I haven't found anything in search. Also, if there is anything that you find more profitable, please tell me.

Thanks.

there's a difference between leeching and doing it, i've leeched a few builds myself, and sad to say, takes about 10 practice runs before i can even kill anything before dying

Btw, trapper is not good versus griffins, they start I will surive as soon as they trigger the first trap--> 3 arrows regen for each condition--> bleed, cripple, blind, on fire = <<< <<<<<< if im not mistaken.. I will survive for 4 conditions = >>> >>> >>> >>> so really I do not recommend traps against desert griffins. They work well versus minotaurs and ettins tough, but as you dont want to use traps I wont bore you with over one page mino/ettin trapping tutorials...

I did not try Spike Trap tough, maybe that would work, flame + spike, but then you still die because they are not blinded Really they might be farmable with spike trap, can't test it myself tough, haven't capped spike...

i mostly farm griffons in snake dance, works great, kills most off them 1 hit and those who survive are blinded so u can easely put some other traps. the only drawback are the stone summit heretic that some times walk around there i cant find a way to kill them with traps since they are ranged and kill me very easely.

Hi Kasissia/All,

My trapping outings are pretty standard. Nothing really out of the ordinary. I dont know in how much detail the methods have been explained, so I'll go through mine here. Feel free to comment on, take in or ignore as much as you like

Expertise: 13 (12+1)
Wilderness 16 (12+1+3)

Druids armor
Staff +15 energy (+10 and +5 insightful)

Skills:
Flame
Barb
Spike
Dust
Whirling Defence (WD)
Storm Chaser (SC)
Serpents Quickness (SQ)
Troll Unquent

Traps - Damage
WD and Troll - collecting aggro (Storm too, for Desert Griffs)
SC - Eject button, for when it all goes to hell... and it will.

Augury Griffons:
SQ and SC up and to the left, through to a safe spot near those bushy things as you enter the griffons' area.
(hitting serpents quickness then immediately storm chaser gives 33%recharge to storm, so its ready again just as it finishes)

Now at this point, avoid griffs at pretty much all costs... they'll chase you for ages, even with storm chaser on. What I do is find a spot where I'm pretty sure i'm out of their wandering range, but close enough that i can collect a fair few in not too much time.

Trap planting:Hit Dust, when Dust is about 3/4 set, hit SQ. This gives maximum time on SQ, while still giving Dust the 33% recharge. From there just plant each of the traps as they are available. You should be able to get three full sets of 4 traps down in 45 secs. (you'll probably need the full 16 WS and 13 exp for this).
Somewhere in the middle of all of that, drop an unimportant item to mark your traps.

Aggro:
With the Augury griffons, they run fast and dont break aggro easily, so i use Storm Chaser to bolt around and aggro as many groups as possible (remember you only have 45secs now till the 1st traps go off).

Once you have as many as possible (2 per group of 3 will chase you, 1 will hang back), run a bit closer to your traps (you marked it, right?), Stop. Hit Troll, and then WD when they start to bash you.

Now, run back to your trap spot (slowing down a bit if you need to group them).

Death! Destruction!
Now the fun bit. Draw them over the traps, but just as they all go off, loop back beside them and drop a spike trap and hit Troll again. This allows another knock down, another 72 dmg and another of the pulses from fire and dust traps.

They should all die.

From here, without a doubt, I hit serpents, hit storm chaser and run. Those 1/3 of every group that hung back will all come to chase you and your sorry energy depleted butt.

The should all break off at some point. Regen yourself, then rinse and repeat for the remaining ones.

Rockshots are not too bad, although can stuff things up a bit. If you have the means beforehand, put down a couple of sets and just lure them through. They dont take much to die and break aggro under Storm pretty easily anyway.

The element of uncertainty, planning and execution makes this almost a fun way to farm. My best effort was 7 or 8 griffs and 5 minotaurs in one aggro.

I've also started farming the Blessed Griffons, Azures, Heretics, Herders and Dolyaks outside Rankor if anyone is interested in the sublties of my hap-hazard approach there too.

Sorry for the essay. Hope it helped somewhat.
*Speeds home from work to play GW*

Cheers,
Anom.
