Hi, I have just recently ascended my warrior (created her a couple of weeks ago). I'm at Ring of Fire right now and getting ready to do the mission. I am trying to come up with a general PvE build that will work well in most situations. So far, this is what I have come up with:

Attribs:

Axe: 12+1+3
Tactics: 9+3
Strength: 9+1

Gear: 15k Glad's (not using Knight's or Ascalon), Sup Vig, Sup Abs, Furious Hand Axe of Foritude (req 8, 15>50, 10% furious, +30hp), Victo's Bulwark

Health: 480-75*2+50+30*2=440
Energy: 27

Skills:

Cyclone Axe (gain adrenaline)
EDIT: Executioner's Strike
Defy Pain {E} (constant +200hp and +20 AL)
"Watch Yourself" (consant +20 AL)
EDIT: Shield Stance
Healing Sig
Purge Conditions
Rebirth

The purpose of this build is to be a fairly effective PvE tank and be able to dish out some damage at the same time. I'm not using Dolyak's Signet b/c it slows down movement by 75%. And we all know PUG's are not perfect, and I oftentimes have to chase down enemies scattered by Firestorms, etc.

Also, for a similar sword build, I'm thinking of replacing Cyclone Axe and Penetrating Blow with Riposte and Deadly Riposte.

Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

for this build i would recomend that you def take executiners over penetrating blow
drop the sup rune of tactics for more health(even though u have 200 more from elite) because the extra second isnt really worth it imo
and have one pc of knights armor for the 2 global damage reduction. alot of 2's really add up over time when your recieving damage from multiple sorces.
either way your going to b fine weather you take my advice or not. the extra life and damage reduction will come in handy tho when your monks are lacking in the healing department. just try to play a more of a balacned warrior than all out tank/offinsive one with this build as too many opponets will take you down pretty fast when heal sig cancels out all of your armor buffs.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tested out this build yesterday and it seems to work pretty well, even in FoW. I was actually able to tank for a long time AND dish out enough damage to avoid total annihilation of the party, and I Rebirthed the rest of the team.

Executioner's Strike does lots of damage (even against those shadow rangers, like 90 or something), and I don't use it too often so as to drain the adrenaline pool to use the two defensive skills.

Also, I found Shield Stance to work better than Defensive Stance, which has too short of a duration for the two +AL skills to fully charge b4 it runs out. Shield Stance seems to do the trick, though, and using adren skills doesn't cancel it out.

I decided to leave the sup Tactics rune in, because without it, "Watch Yourself" doesn't last long enough, and I have trouble keeping up with the adrenaline usage to keep it and Defy Pain both up at the same time.

The Ascalon/Knight's would definitely help, but for pure "aesthetic" reasons, I decided to stick to full glad's *cough*

All in all, I think I'm gonna keep using this build for pretty much all of my PvE stuff.
