Default Enduring Toxin

I didn't have a chance to use this skill, so I'm hoping someone else did and can answer my question:

Based on the skill description, it looks like it would survive Hex Removal assuming the target is moving at the time. Is this the case, or am I reading it wrong?

If so, then it would make the perfect cover hex. What softy wouldn't run if they found themselves alone against an Assassin? A Monk removes it, it pops back on, they remove it again, wash and repeat until target is dead. The only alternative is to stand and face the Assassin.

Most likely, it would not [remain]. The hex would be removed, it would not get to renew, and the existing duration would be cut short.

If memory serves, hex removal will kill it dead unless you attempt to remove it right as it's renewing itself. Or I could be misremembering what happened the one time someone put it on my monk.

edit: That is to say, if you remove it just as the 3 seconds is ending.

Nah, I'm sure it'll remove anyway, since the renewing effect is instantaneous, meaning you'd remove it either before it refreshed, or after, even if it is only by a few milliseconds. The devs most probably made it renew even a little before 3 seconds (Say, by a few milliseconds) so that there won't be a 'null period'

I would have expected that to be the case, but it didn't seem to be. I recall cancelling my Holy Veil and having the hex (which was already flickering to show its imminent end) disappear momentarily before popping right back up. I was kiting at the time, of course. When I tried it while standing still, the hex went away and stayed away.

My memory isn't perfect, and I only had that one experience with the hex, but I'm still disinclined to believe any contrary opinion that isn't based on direct experience.

Well, the thing is that I was thinking of other hexes that have and effect when it ends, like Parasitic Bond. If you remove the hex, that part still occurs, i.e. You are still healed for the ~100 health.

If that applies here, "when Enduring Toxin would end" is a condition that would likewise be caused by Smite Hex, etc. regardless of when it is cast.

So far Natalie and Lucifer are the only two with direct knowledge, and their experiences do not coincide. Unless others post here, I guess we'll have to wait to find out for sure. It's something to keep in mind though.

They don't? It sounds we both had the experience of using a hex remover on Enduring Toxin and having it go away, only mine had the additional wrinkle of the hex coming back if I used removal at the wrong time.

Well, that's what I meant. His said it just went away, yours said (conditionally) it came back.
