W/Me
12 Illusion
9 str
9 sword (as long as it meets your req)
9 tactics
Equipment: Sword with enchantment mod, shield, Rockmolder. Weapon set #1, sword and shield, Weapon set #2, sword and Rockmolder.
Illusionary Weaponry
Healing Signet
Dolyak Signet
Watch Yourself
Flurry
Sever Artery
Gash
Res Sig
Using a Rockmolder gives you 12 energy that's hidden from the Fear Me spams until you switch over. Then you only have to regen 3 energy to re-cast IW, and switch back to your shield.
When you're not fighting the ghouls and have energy, spamming Flurry with IW lets you put out 34 DPS for 36 seconds (20% enchant mod), making you look like a damn Jedi Ginsu Master out there. When you aren't using IW, Sever and Gash lets you bleed and deep wound everything but the Dream Riders.
Dolyak is for getting up in the Dryders' faces to kick their ass without worrying about Meteor Shower knocking you down. Good for tanking Wurms too.
Too many so-called "tanks" don't even consider how they're going to get around being blind and with zero energy 75% of the time and still be able to contribute other than taking up space.

I didn't think you could get elite skills from your secondary class?

I had the misfortune of tanking the new area with monks who could not get rid of conditions. Here is my new build that should offset the conditions and put them to use. I really like the illusionary weapons answer to the conditions question. Elegant and effective.
W/N
Strength 14
Axe 13
Tactics 12
Superior rune in strength and tactics
Cyclone Axe
Executioners
Watch Yourself
Dolyak signet
I will survive
plague touch
Defy Pain (E)
Healing signet
I usually have 1 to 3 conditions on me. With Plague touch, i can return any of them (especially blind) and/or use "I will survive" for mad regen and keep flailing.
Defy Pain, Doly, and Watch yourself will help me survive. Cyclone helps build adrenaline and nice damage. Executioner"s is for finishing foes.
With 14 strength, I get 19 seconds with Doly, 272 hit points with Defy Pain, 11 seconds of regen with "I will survive" And.....extra damage on every stroke. Plague touch is primarily for blind.
I hope this is helpful.

How would spiteful spirit ruin the build? Or the other way round?

other way around.
the monsters there have a stance called 'fingers of chaos,' which has various effects based on your professions. if they hit a nec, they lose a hex. i could be wrong, but i believe that it affects secondaries as well. hence, if one with ss on it hits you, they lose ss. this pretty much nullifies the reason for the ss nec to exist in your party.
can someone confirm if secondaries are affected as well? if they don't, then i take back everything i just said. =P

I use riposte and deadly riposte, so I am still doing damage even when blind.

Having a Warrior/Necro WILL remove Spiteful Spirit if any foe strikes the Warrior/Necro.

Hence not using it around Dream Riders, or eliminating them first so that you can use IW for the rest of the mob. You don't need a cover enchant if you use strategy and prioritize your targets. The 2 times I was paired with non-guild Warriors, they tried these "alternative" strategies and looked like fools out there.

And how exactly one can use Riposte and Deadly Riposte when a) you're blind and can't gain adrenaline and b) you have 0 energy, needs to be explained to me. And at 12 Tactics Deadly Riposte does 41 damage to 1 enemy every 10 seconds. That's hardly efficient. Gladiator's Defense is a little better, but its effectiveness depends on a) actually having 5 energy to cast it b) melee enemies attacking (since there's only one type of melee enemy), c) enough of the melee enemies actually attacking YOU, which is unlikely since they prefer to attack casters, and d) not minding 20 seconds of downtime, with a 10 second duration (12 tactics) and 30 second recharge.
I'm still waiting for someone to show me a better way to dish out damage under the given conditions. I don't post anything in this forum which I haven't already proven to work.

I know of a build
My guild team uses the ever popular Echo/Renewal nuker and if we can 2. But to augment it we use a hammer warrior, yes you heard me right a hammer warrior in PvE, and he does maximum duration knockdown just as the Meteor Showers hit to allow for at least 5 seconds inside the storm. I don't know about you guys but 5 seconds inside 1 Meteor Shower would kill most casters and if you get 2 going forget about it.

Only Monk enchants, apparently, I've thwacked hundreds of ghouls and never had IW stripped. Only the Dream Riders do that, or the occasional Chained Soul who happens to rez while nobody is paying attantion. Since I'm the only one with an enchantment on, I'll be the target of his Rend. But that's so rare it's negligible. I remember it happening a total of twice out of 3 complete runs, so it's not often enough to concern me.

As much in strength (12+rune+1 hat) as possible with your runes and the rest in tactics (10+rune), and your weapon of choice (8+rune).
Rebirth
I will avenge you (if things go bad, very bad w/PUG's)
I will survive (perfect for all the conditions they actually help you)
Watch Yourself (+ armor)
Dolyak signet (+ armor)
Healing Signet
Gladiator's Defense
Shield Bash
Sometimes if Im going with a MM and another W/ I will replace I will avenge you and Shield bash with offensive skills (sword: sever, gash, ax: cyclone, executioners)
The purpose of this build is to 1) tank for the entire time. 2) when things go bad I can, stay alive and keep aggro long enough to let the monks retreat so they can rez if other casters die.

My build is very close to Kvndoom except that instead of flurry I had Elemental Resistance which really reduced dmg from Dryders and wurms, just don't use it around the ghouls. I may remove it and try flurry but it I know it reduced one spell from doing 122 dmg to me down to 30.
Figuring I shouldn't ever be the last person alive I brought Illusionary Weakness instead of Res which when I got low on health would give me about 189 back.
My shield is a -2 (while in stance) -2 (while Enchanted)
The only time my enchantments were removed was when the chained soul would rend them.
As far as Riposte working when you are blind. Well you do gain adrenaline when you take damage and Riposte is only 4 adrenaline so it is possible to use it. I prefer to use those skill slots for Sever Artery and Gash though instead of Riposte and Deadly Riposte.
Keep in mind also the end purple guys cast Ignorance (can't use signets) and Soothing Images (cannot gain adrenaline). So again Illusionary Weaponry is definately the way for a warrior to deal damage.
