Everyone; help me out please!
So a while back I was interested in making a MM, but then i started to get into HoH and GvG a lot more and realized a MM isn't the best choice...
I have Bortak's Bone Staff and I want to put it to use. Will someone please help me with a build so that I can find a use for my staff.
Death Magic seems almost useless...

i dont really know the staff's stats, but for GvG/HoH/PvP purposes, a PvP weapon is probably best.
if the staff is blood-based, i guess you could be a blood spiker or degen, but for PvP, curses is the way to go...
if the staff is, infact, curses, you could go for an FoC spike build, an SS build or anything from the curses line that can support your team's build...

there are other death magic skills you can use besides minion master related things. my suggestion is 'create your own build' using different skills in death magic

A Minnion master can be pretty good in de HoH, minnion factories are strong. You can farm good with a MM too (no solo farming though). So I would say keep your MM for a while then go for curses. Curses is the strongest attrib in PvP, atleast thats my opinion.

I don't use my 2nd prof if I'm MM. Many ppl use heal area, but you have the same effect with blood of the master.
This is what I use:
Death Magic: 12+3+1
Blood Magic: 9+1
Soul Reaping: 9+1
Skills:
1. Deathly Swarm
2. Blood of The Master
3. Verata's Sacrifice
4. Taste of Death
5. Dark Bond
6. Animate Bone Fiend
7. Offering of Blood
8. Rez Signet
This build works, it's not the best build there is, but it works.

What's that? Are you referring to the Dark Aura build? I didn't think that would very effective in HoH or GvG.

Oh hell yes you can solo as a MM! I can solo the entire game upto Port Sledge as a regular MM.

People are missing the point of Heal Area. Not only does it heal minions, it heals YOU. So you can drop Taste of Death, and still have a heal spell without losing minions in the process.
OoB, VS, BotM are all Sacrifice spells. Heal Area repairs the sacrifice damage so you can be very liberal in your usage of these spells, without having to wait and regen, or eat a minion.
And another thing... if you are running a Monk secondary, why are you still using Rez Signet? Use a renewable rez like Vengeance or Rebirth.
EDIT: I see now that you didn't say you were /Mo. But still, a monk secondary offers more that HA.

Good poinst there, Carinae. I'll edit my build then. I'm most of time curses and I said it was a pretty good build, I never said it was "tha bomb". Anyway thanks for your advice, I'll try your ideas.
You want me to replace Taste of Death with Heal Area then?
BTW... Rez signet is the best in PvP and when you're in a MF-team you don't want to use rebirth, in PvE I always use rebirth when I'm monk secondary

i still stand by ranger being the best MM secondary
healing spring heals more over time then heal area and serpent quickness makes fiends and verata sac recharge faster, your verata will recharge before the effect wears off, its great
