Mesmer Elite Panic
I've seen this Skill but is there any use for this skill I don't see it. There much better Elites in my opinion. Is there anyone who uses a panic build if so tell me about it. And tell me its uses.

could be useful in tombs if you got a 2nd hexer to spam up hexes to cover
good:
it does have a good aoe to hit quite a few
after a caster hits zero energy, this skill really shines by slowing their regen (other edenial skills arent as effective in this area as draining off 10 energy when the monk only has 1 energy aint going to do much and malaise/wither end when target hits zero)
it has a pretty good recharge to sorta spam it if you got the energy management
meh:
while the damage when using sigs can be useful against a bonder monk, i kinda wish it had a more all-round useful secondary effect
the 25 energy cost makes this skill kinda difficult to keep rolling
but anyway if you run a double e surge team in tombs, it maybe worth checking into switching out one surger with panic and see how it goes

This skill indeed can be useful, the only problem is that it required some specific sidekick as a superhero.
Not that many use it is because it is one of the less flexible hex out there.

E-surge.Or so i believe..

more plusses tho - area effect is BIG and it can mix well
ie mix with etherlord for your regen/their degen after casting panic for a single target to go -mana regen
spirit shackles on a warrior or ranger and this makes any mana skill a bear even more for them, and if either of them like their signets...
etc
actually on the insight board a very regular mesmer goes into details on panic things you can do

The effect is extremely powerful and the AoE is quite decent, but 25 energy is just too much. 15 energy would make it too good, so nerfing the effect/AoE a bit and bringing the energy cost down would be one viable option IMHO.

It's balanced fine if you try my version. You use up all of your energy rapidly, but you gain most of it back rapidly as well.

I like using it in a signet build due to the massive amount of energy it can eat up, 25e every 10 seconds. I stick to signets and devote my entire energy pool just to getting as many copies of Panic out there as possible.

I've found that Glyph of Lesser Energy can help with the energy problem.

thx because I began to think that the panic skill was useless (still 25 mana is too much)

Panic recharges very fast at around 10 seconds.
So knowing that the mesmer is the ultimate character to gain energy you can pretty much use it a lot and cover much of the team.
I have used a panic mesmer in a QZ energy denial build and it cost 33 energy per shot, not easy but doable
Skill example:
Panic (E)
Mind Wrack
Drain Enchant
Power Drain
Ether Lord
Energy tap
Signet Weariness
Rez
As you can imagine lots of the team under panic and maybe some hexes from a curse necro on the team and its very painfull. If you add QZ into the mix its pretty devestating to their poor energy. Then your Warriors can go rip them to pieces.

Has anyone found a good use for Panic in PvE? I've always stuck to Ineptitude, Migraine and Power Block. So if anyone has a build using it in PvE, I'd like to know.
