TOPK Pet Abuse?
Hi Guys,
I have a lvl 20 Snow Wolf. When I started playing GW I was not aware that you could actually raise your pet to be Dire, Hearty, Aggresive ect.
So as I played and took "Mange" (my pet) around with me in the earlier missions of the game I just took a couple of skills for him. He died, I rez him and thus as he leveled he became a Hearty wolf lvl20.
If players are now taking their pets to TOPK are they abusing the type of growth path (evolution) that pet will follow by just using them as meat shields? I have seen lower lvl pets, and if memory serves me correctly I read that these are the levels pets evolve in.
My concern is I don't have a good understanding on pet evoution. I beleive my pet has already gone thru his and became a product of my ignorance. I certainly hope that I am not affecting a "part 2" of the evolution procedure. For that matter do you guys think most Rangers that take their pets consider this? Im sure there are Rangers that don't care about using a pet, so whats the difference. They will just use them for farming, so no problem there.
I just wanted other fellow Ranger's thoughts on this.

Ok, I'll post this again. Here is one of the best pet guides on the web that is available here on Guru:

I'm not really sure what you are concerned about. The way pets are being used isn't really different from what it seems like you were using yours as. Sure pets serve as meat shields and corpses for MM, but they can do more damage than a minion, are more controlable, and can be brought back to life over and over as needed. From my experience, almost no one ever uses their pet in a way to evolve them into a Dire or Aggresive pet. I personally see more people that go out and cap a spider that just happens to be dire.
Anyways, read the guide if there is anything you don't understand about pets, THEN post here...

Thank you XvArchonvX! I tried searching the pet build guide, but the one I found was not as good as this one.
