The moral of the story? All heal and no hammer makes Wa/Mo a dull boy. Remember to boost your weapon attribute

A Wa/Mo with Gale? And Axe and Hammer? Now I'm confused.

Actually, w/e nuker CAN work. You just have to stack Elemental Attunement+Fire Attunement, and suddenly spells cost 1, 2, 3, or 5 energy instead of 5, 10, 15, or 25. Makes it much easier.
Once, I saw a w/e using fireball/storm etc. without those, but somehow he could actually cast them more than once each O.o . . .
Oh yeah, once I did a streak in CA with a blood/BM n/r on the team.

The most intriguing build I saw someone running was a healing N/Mo minion master. Creates minions to provide extra energy during combat, but focuses all of his efforts on healing the party. It isn't super efficient because of the lack of divine favor, but helps tremendously with the energy management issues (i.e. imagine having 4-5 minions going into a battle that provide 10+ energy with each death via soulreaping - nice little spikes in energy to help when your energy gets low). Can also create a well or two to help with health/energy regeneration.

Weirdest I've seen would be a 55 monk with Infuse Health. WTF? I think he just hit forums, and combined stuff at random. But someone that can afford 5 monk runes doing this...?

Maybe the guy was playing stupid... just like Necros with Blood is Power and spams it to death when he is in Random Arena..
I guess the weirdest build I've seen (at the time, when GW was only released for a couple of months), was this Warrior/monk holding a staff and using "Charge" as his elite skill in Random Arena (he was a running healing warrior). Amazingly it worked quite effective at the time (when the opponent had no idea what the warrior was up to). Half the time enemies were chasing the warrior (when he was easily out running them) thinking that the "monk" war must die or he'll keep healing others or something! I think that warrior was packed with Restore Life too.. it was funny and interesting to see that the build worked at the time!

I'd like to think the build I am gonna speak about, is more funny to see/watch than really wierd..it might actually be effective, if the person stands and doesn't heal lol..MAYBE in TA with 4 of them doing the same build on one target lol. BUT I've vs'd a mesmer just once in Randoms arena, whom was making use of their fast casting ability, and like a bazooka of sorts, was rapidly firing stone daggers..my guess is they had something like aura of restoration elemental attunement, mantra of recovery etc. to be able to do this, but I'm not thinking about it further lol. Just thought it was funny to see a Me/E come up to you, and spamming stone daggers like a machine gun or something with the sound "Poom poom poom poom!!!!" going off in rapid sequence lol XD.

Fast cast stone dagger spammers. Gotta love them. But what I love more is putting backfire on them during the heat of battle when they're not paying attention :P

This was in one of the early missions when I was playing a monk. I think it ruins of surmia. anyway, I was a regular heal monk lvl 5 or sumtin, we had a lvl 14 w/mo, who could have solo'd it and without him we woulda been screwed. here's why: the other chars were lvl 5-6 e/ra and mo/*. But the other monk decided to go point-blank smiting with symbol of wrath. His AoE pulled the aggro off the tanking warrior every single time and he kept dying. alot. And he was the only one who died I think. Ok, I agree, that's only stupidity, not wierd. Now for the e/ra though. He was using a bow. and bow skills. no ele skills at all. In the long run (ie max lvl), expertise is much more effective for bow skills than energy storage is. Because it's designed that way. period. So he's weak in armor and less effective than he could be if he were just a freakin ra/*. I hope he figured that out before buying too many more bow skills for his ele. Oh well, atleast the w/mo got us through the mission. And at lvl 14, the w/mo out-healed me anyway. Like I said, he coulda solo'd it.

Well, after all those points they put into Illusion magic, they don't have enough left in Swordsmanship to deal better damage than IW :P
No worries, they'll figure out to flip their classes sooner or later :P

It's probably to give yourself better armor while still doing damage.

trouble is, they could do better damage by pumping their weapon stat up to 16 and dropping IW completely. Lack of energy and better options within the primary are why a W/Me IW build don't work. Besides, if you want to run IW, it's better to have 16 Illusion for IW, and you can't do that with a W/Me.

I tried being a surprise Ranger. Went in as W/R, had a crap shield and sword to be my disguise, and then when the fight begins, pull out my bow and start interruping!
Sadly it didn't work too well...I ran out of energy...

Well my W/N life stealer is not exactly the greatest build of all time, but he is only for helping out my newbie friend so Grawls don't stand much of a chance no matter what I use.

weirdest i've seen that works would be a n/r that trapped was on my time and was quite effective we lasted 15ish rounds i think in CA. Lots of rubbish builds like bow and sword using warrior(not just bow for iway but to actually damage) or a w/mo that bonded everyone used blessed sig and frenzy (almost no points in prot for reduced damage), i kept him alive as boon prot but it was a bloody stupid build.
