How much HP does your ranger has?
The reason I ask is because I am curretly only have 1x sup rune, but thinking to get a Major rune which will further reduce 50HP.
Wondering if any of you have gone for this set up and how comfortable it is.

I use a sup marks rune with a major expertise rune on my ranger. My health is generally 396, but it comes to 426 when I use one of my bows with a fortitude mod.

I have 2 sup on my ranger: Vigor and Marksmanship. So I have a HPP (HP penality) with. But I dont really care.
Total HP: 455 or 485 if I use my bow with fortitude +30

I often use a Superior/Major rune combo. This works especially well in PvE where the ranger has great armor but is in the back lines remaining untouched.
When I do it, I tend to have the Major rune match my head gear and the Superior on its own, so that I get two +3's out of my gear, but that's just a personal preference.
I like to have Beast/Expertise or Beast/Marks for my duo rune set-up, but then I've always seemed to use more Beastmastery than most.

In PvP, 485 or 455 is the standard health-that's one Superior Rune(discounting Sup Vigor) and a weapon with or without a Fortitude upgrade.

How does it work out that, having +5 in armour is better then having 30 HP?

Damage Prevented > Addtional Health
I'll find the post about it later (it's buryed somewhere) where they crunched the numbers...but it came down to the +30 health lasting only the intial attack(s) where +5 defense continued to be a benefit past the initial attacks. But as it was pointed out +5 armor does nothing for Degen.

I started out with an armor +5 grip, but found that since I evade most physical attacks and since most non-physical attacks used are either degen or armor negating attacks, the fortitude mod comes in handy. I say this of course only for my build and style of play.

-Major Expertise (-50hp)
-Major Vigor (why pay 30k more for 9hp?)(+41hp)
-30+hp Grip on most of my bows (+30hp)
So I got 501hp : )

471... Major rune of WS and Major Vigor.
I don't use fortitude mods as I much prefer the armor bow grips. To counter degen, I just use Troll Urgent (fingers crossed that it doesn't get interrupted).

385. Minor vigor, sup marksmanship, major wildy survival, minor expertise (or were expertise and wildy the other way around)...yeah I'm one of those well-rounded rangers, trapper or marksman/interrupt. I keep telling myself to go buy that major vig until I have enough money for sup, but I continue to forget.

485 here.
I'm debating whether or not my ranger can survive with 410 so I can use a Superior Expertise rune to boost that attribute up to 13.

Not sure of the exact number, but I have one headpiece for Marks, WS and BM and the appropriate superior on each on. Then I have a Superior Vigor on the chest of my two sets of armor and Superior Expertiese on each set also.
This is the pretty standard setup I use for all my charcters except monk and sometimes warrior (switch armor to only have Superior Tactics or Strength on the helms)
