Energy problem? your gaining +2 every time your getting hit and +5 with bonettis, unless ur game is bugged and ur breeze costs 30 energy to cost, and even then, i think your mistaken.

I have trialed a build with grifs and trolls., you do not even need bonettis. I have ditched it and moved all my att points back from tactics to smiting.
My energy does not fall below about 15-20, even when spamming skills with zealots.
With the 3 running enchants, you still have 1 pip of energy, plus the energy gain from attacks, as Fenixxor has pointed out., Healing breeze and mending gives, wot, 12 hp regen (8+4).
I think it's easier without Pro Bond.

I agree, the neccesity to recast protective spirit is more of an advantage that a hinderance due to zealots fire. bonetti's can probably easily be replaced by channeling (mesmer) and then maybe replace essence bond with divine boon... but tbh the build i mentioned works very well.

I am currently running with RoF instead of Bonettis, every hit gives X amount of health back to you, with a 3/4 casting time and 2 Sec recharge. Happy days.
Making it another spam skill with P/Spirit and H/Breeze.

Seems to work for me.

Devine boon is probably a better option as it will increase the HP you receive when u cast spells aswell, plus it has a lower CD.

That is true, but with a 9 in divine aura, you get +29 hp for each skill you cast anyway. And with D/Boons -1 Regen, I decided not to use it.

And on a 55HP build, 29 is quite a lot.

Yea, well its an option its up to people what they wanna use, i find i kill them fast enough with my build and i like to keep bonetti's incase i get silenced + its useful to stop the aataxe interrupt.

Well, they did quite effectively screw over the spirit spam build (thank god for that)

Use the +5 energy sword from maguuma stad and put a +20% enchant upgrade on it.

I can confirm that Protective Spirit is quite an effective replacement. It's not nearly as safe as the Prot bon build and your bars move around quite a bit but you can take pretty large mobs with a degree of safety. I just tested and could do 7 darkness at once and 5 ataxes at once and a mixed ataxe/darkness group.

It's also nice you can get a lot more energy because you don't have to pay the bond costs for each hit. But you are very busy casting now. Pretty much just cast as soon as anything is available so you don't let anything run out, because losing your spirit is fatal.

Yes, but wouldnt a Mo/N version of this work?? Blood Ritual could give back the lost energy of prot bond.......

I've been toying with the idea. The only thing that bothers me is that I can't use AotL and Spiteful Spirit at the same time, and I would want them both to be a good necro. Also Bonettis does wonders for dodging interrupts and it's hard to give it up especialy for a bunch of 2-second cast time spells that will most likely never get cast because of interrupts.
