The best water combo is probably Shard Storm/Ice Spikes/Ice Prison/Deep Freeze (one snaring spell of some sort), then drop a maelstrom, and as they try to escape, water trident and keep them in the mael :P

it definetly should not be made to cost 25 energy. a lot af warriors including me, depend on this skill in battle. it is a little unfair though...maybe it should be made an elite...

NO earth spells cost too much mana as it is. No increasing cost for aftershock it would nerf the entire earth line basically. As to someone saying balanced stance so u want me to create an E/W? It is overrated as well. With peoples armor it goes down to like half the dmg
You also mentioned that we should compare it to every other elemental skill line well the fact is that you only compared it to earth

Aftershock isn't overpowered. shouldn't be nerfed. it costs 10 and is cast quickly for these reasons. it isn't elemental damage, its straight damage, which means the brunt of the damage will usually get absorbed by armor. 2nd, its a waste if the target isn't knocked down, and anything to cause knockdown takes a while to set up. earthquake costs so much because it does knockdown and aoe damage. stoning costs so much because its ranged. simple as that, no more discussion needed. you can't blame a skill for kicking your arse if you weren't smart enough to prepare for the circumstance

Gale + AfterShock = Too much Exhaustion, but it all depends on the situation you're in... e.g. You're close to a monk, knock him down, but do not dmg while knocking him down, and then use AS ? Gale is not a strict AoE skill, so Gale+ Aftershock isnt really the best combo, cuz 1 is AoE and 1 isnt... As for WhirlWind + Aftershock, you do dmg while knocking him down, and then aftershock gives it the extra kick.... that is if you are a GeoAero, which i tried and is kinda gay.... but EQ and AS pretty decent...for factions I like DragonStomp+EarthQuake+Aftershock...
