Name might be mispelled:

Yxthosth - Salt Flats

Like he said, he's surrounded by those flying mesmer octopus things. Just head east from Seeker's Passage, through the gate, around the big rock, and north.

found a summit mesmer boss in Lornar's Pass last week or so, unfortunately I took a shift+print screen shot and didn't get his name. (I then died..) I imagine he has it as well. Just as a note.. it's much easier to obtain from one of the other bosses. Unless you're looking for a challenge or something, heh.

Mediocore skill; too direct for my liking. It's simply an elite Imagined Burden.

Why would this skill be elite? How do you make it useful enough to be an elite?

Note that, for the record, I think this is one of the poorer elites.

But that said, it *can* save space on your skill bar if you've got both a snare and a DOT in it (and don't have your elite slot taken yet). Illusion is useful for both snaring and health degen, so for that reason, I think they made this elite: two spaces on a skill bar for the price of one.

I wish they'd do any or all the following to the skill:

Increase the movement penalty.
Increase the min and max health degen (2-5 would make it fine).
Decrease the cooldown.

I might consider using it then.

yeah, this spell is really f-ing annoying in pvp if you're team has no hex removal, it keeps warriors from chasing people down. the fact that its pretty much indefineite slow/degen makes it a lamer version of cripling shot (lamer in the sense that it needs severe derigging).

With annoying-assed touch rangers running amok in RA, this isn't a bad skill to take along. If they have no healing / hex removal support, they'll just waste away and die before they ever get to you.

Why do people say this is spammable ?
It costs 15 energy and has a recharge of 20 sec.

Am I missing something ?

they mean you can keep it on 1 person all the time barring hex removal - something not possible by most powerful hexes.
