SS/SV + 55 Mo vs Mindblades - How?
I know that mindblades drop ectos, so I'd like to tack Escort the Souls onto the end of a smite run. Problem is, they seem to rip up the 55 with degen and longer casts + interrupts.
My thinking has been the 55 has to run in with SB and get surrounded fairly fast so that the necro can drop SV on it to prevent later casts. but well... I'm missing something here.
So any help please?

^600 Hp build
Well i didnt try to 55-hp the Mindblades, im sure its possible with Spellbreaker. But i prefer this build for making ecto's and taking on the Mindblades:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3031254
This build is able to tank and kill the Mindblades and as well do a smite run under 10 min

It's all in the necro build:
SS, Arc Echo, SV, Mantra of Resolve, Inspired Hex, Res sig, Suffering, Desc enchants.
With resolve up, allow monk to aggro mindblades, casting SB when they pop up. Move so that all 3 are meleeing or adjacent.
Cast in order -> echo, SS, SV, SS, suffering, desc.
Sit back and watch. Inspire stuff off yourself or monk as needed.

I apprecaite pointing me to the 605 build Ietwat, but my partner and I like running necro with monk instead of dual monk.
Thanks Avarre for that info, but some follow up questions.
I assume I could swap out Reckless Haste for Suffering...
Is Mantra of Resolve there as a just in case or do the necros get targetted fairly often?
I'm assuming that Inspired Hex is swapped in from Power Drain and is just there for energy management rather then for the hex removal (right?)
Just trying to fit that in with the "normal" duo run build for the necro. Makes sense tho.

Yup, the intention was to do the full smite run then return back to clearing the chamber. In order to combine the aataxe with the mindblades, you'll have to trigger the escort quest and that leaves those souls open to aggro. How did you work around that?

There are three mindblade spots, 3 popups, then 2 groups of 6. 1 of the groups of 6 isn't in the way.
I'd definitely just clear first and go back around to take blades out... reckless haste can work instead of suffering, my necro isn't in Cantha so he doesn't use RH
Another note is while the mindblades are generally 1 group, after someone dies they often split extremely far. I've had my necro (while mes tanking) pick off mindblades 1 by 1 all the way down at the mayor as souls attack them and they dont attack souls.
The necro almost always gets casted on, there's not much you can do about this until SV is up and running. I wouldn't even bother trying without resolve, unless you're willing to die a few times.
Inspired is for removing a migrane from yourself of the 55, or removing conjure (that stuff HURTS from 16 illu with no selfheal, you realize). It also helps if the monk is caught in maelstroms, etc. Sure it provides some energy management but I've never needed energy management on my necro (+15/-1 focus for 3 regen and 60+ energy, 9~ SR easily covers it). Though the little energy always helps.

well i suppose ill need to do this once again to remember what comes where, buuut, as far as i can remember, the tanker should just wait till all the mindblades get within melee range (at this point you should have a pretty solid aggro), and then the ss comes and ss's the two aatxe.
ive never had a soul to die BEFORE at least the monk is down oO
as i said, this was a while ago, i might do it again if i get the time
anyway, i dont think you need to change your skillsets... with the standard builds people have done pretty much almost all the quests in uw, personally ive done the servents of grenth, clear the chamber, soul escort and ehm, unwanted guests? it will take you some time and luck to get them, but... it works
