Default Farming Fort Aspenwood

What do you find to be the most effective way to farm Fort Aspenwood as a Luxon? I need some help in getting enough jade for 15k armor. I was thinking either a crip shot or ranger spike. Any ideas?

I've had a lot of success with this build:

Skills:

Hunter's Shot
Savage Shot
Apply Poison
Throw Dirt
Flame, Dust, or Barbed Trap
Flame, Dust, or Barbed Trap
Escape
Troll Unguent

I've experimented with the traps a bit and have found that Barbed is a good trap to drop at enemy warp points. As soon as they warp, they are crippled, which slows down the Amber collection. Flame Trap is good for damage at a low cost, but Dust Trap comes in handy protecting the turtles as well.

Escape serves three purposes, it helps you run, helps you stay alive, and helps you prevent interuption. Use Throw Dirt when Escape is recharging and you have a very strong advantage over tanks.

I have messed with variations that use either Pin Down or Distracting Shot, but I find those skills to be better suited for Alliance Battles, at least when incorporated with this build.

just go afk

lol joking

i had fun runing a crip shot/condition build

crip shot
hunters shot
apply poison
deliberating shot

when you apply poison, do crip shot. as soon as they are crippled they will try to get away as fast as they can. while there sloooooooowly walking away is the perfect time to hunters shot, to increase degenaration. after this follow by deleberating shot, because they will try to "purge condtion", spirit, shadow refuge, heal brese all in same time. after combo done crip shot again, just to make sure they dont get far away and keep degenerating. honestly, with me doin that its very hard not to die while walkig by

If you do decide on a cripple shot build, I think you will be fine, but will likely have more success with such a build in an Alliance Battle.

Oh yea, and I just realized that when I had first posted, I assumed that the build desired was for what someone on the Luxon side would want for a ranger build. I have no experience on the Kurzick side, but if you are a Kurzick, then perhaps a full trap build would work well. If there are any Kurzick rangers here that would like to share builds/strategies they have had success with, I'd be interested to hear.

Crip Shot prevents them from running Amber. That alone makes it the best build.

Also, bring Edge of Extinction. You'll piss off a lot of people...but you can win easily.

If you bring EoE just make sure you don't drop it until BOTH turtle squads are up to green gate. (I assume you're Luxon.)

What attributes do you suggest for the cripshot build? I found one build on Guildwiki that had 15 expertise, 9 marksmanship and wilderness survival, 8 domination and 3 illusion, yet I don't know if I need to bring blackout (corect m if I'm wrong). I ws under the impression that I want to keep up the cripple as long as possible on a target, and with 16 in marksmanship and a crippling bow string, the cripple on a target would last for 13 seconds. Or is the high expertise for the reduction in cost of crippling shot? Thanks for all the help.

well, crip shot costs 15e, and it has almost no rechange. when i REALY dont want someone to get away, i spam it after few seconds, also dealing damage and poisoning in same time, so i always like my expertise to be at lest at 12. like this way, when after spaming crip shot you stay with 2-3 energy points you can still spam hunters shot and go in a stance like "distortion" which is always maintenable, just in case if hwirling defence is recharging.

i bring my expertise to 16, rest in marks and WS
